We didn’t miss the warning about US orders. It was not there when we checked.

A few of us went through the order process yesterday and the day before specifically to see whether US customers were being warned before checkout. We were not seeing that notice in the order flow.

If it is showing now, great. That is what should have been there before people paid. But acting like we somehow missed a giant obvious warning is not accurate.

There are also people in your own Discord saying they saw the US order notice after completing purchase on the site. That is the problem. A Discord post or a notice someone finds after the fact does not help the customer who already paid.

Also, the red banner on Peptide Critic is not the main issue here. That is just how we flag buyer alerts.

The main issue is that my order was placed and nearly two weeks later it was still sitting in limbo despite express shipping. That is handling time, not transit time. The freight forwarder explanation does not really address that part.

Ive updated the banner to reflect the current status. But the criticism was never just “there is no notice anywhere on the internet today.”

    The criticism is:

    • customers were able to order
    • customers were able to pay
    • express shipping was still being sold
    • the warning was not clearly presented before checkout when we checked
    • and orders appear to be sitting in Warehouse for nearly two weeks before anything meaningful happens

    That is the transparency issue.

@Randy That was articulated very well… I will NOT be ordering from Chimera but do like Nexaph.

No Chimera for me… I have plenty of other places and things I want to loose money on first, the list is endless.

It wasn't long after I placed my first order that I saw on their discord that shipping had been shut down. I asked if I should cancel my order. A couple of people (moderators?) jumped on me--why would you cancel your order?! Don't be impatient. This is normal with foreign orders. Like I said earlier, I got payment confirmation on 4/13. Got tracking number on 4/21. Haven't heard anything since. I don't know if this is normal or not since it's my first international order. But I would not have ordered if I knew it would take so long.

              You missed this part?
So please be kind and remove that big red banner that says that we are accepting US orders.

Regarding your order I'll look into it and see where the problem lies.

I can confirm that the notice was there when I checked right after you posted the alert on Discord. While I appreciate the work Randy does, it really does make you question the motive behind placing an order during a time when he even admits you've already alerted the public to the shipping issues. For the last two-plus months we've had consistent delays from freight providers, you've warned us of this since December, yet here we are with complaints after only 14 days when the current standard has been three weeks before shipping.

Motive? Information and reputation… A lot of people spend (More like waste) for information. Last moth I spent money on Test for a Peptide I am not even using, just to see if it was what it was claimed to be. I also spent money cutting my pens apart so we can see what was inside instead of speculating off of internet rumors. Jeff spent I don’t know how much, but I know it was a lot, on a degradation test of peptides to put the internet rumors to bed. SOME people contribute, so just keep passing on information the “heard or read” with nothing to back it up. I am pretty sure Jeff could have used the money he spent on that test for something else. It is pretty clear why he spent that money and passed along the information - Information and reputation. They actually mean something to some people.
michaelherriman how about you do us a favor and maybe pay for some independent test. In fact, how about you order from Chimera and send it to a lab in the USA that we all pick. Time to contribute….

@michaelherriman “I can confirm the notice was there when I checked right after you posted the alert.”

Right. After the alert was posted.

That does not prove it was there when I ordered on April 9 (it wasnt). It also does not change the fact that several of us went through the order flow before this thread and were not seeing a clear warning before checkout.

Also, let’s not rewrite the timeline here. I did not place an order after making a public alert about Chimera. I placed the order first, waited nearly two weeks, saw it sitting in Warehouse, saw similar complaints in their Discord, and then posted about it.

The “motive” was extremely sinister, though: I ordered from a vendor listed on my own site to see what the customer experience was like.

                  Terrifying stuff.

And if the “current standard” is now three weeks before shipping, then that needs to be shown clearly before checkout. Not buried in Discord. Not discovered after payment. Not explained by forum defenders after the fact.

Because Chimera was still selling express shipping as “7–9 days in transit.” If there is also a three-week handling delay before transit even starts, that is not a small detail. That is the headline.

So thank you for making the point for me:

If three weeks before shipping is the new normal, customers should know that before they pay.

                    Damn!

I dunno if I want to do my review on them at all now.
Actually I think I will anyway and accept the heat.😂

I’m starting to think you US guys (99% of the people on here?) have been too spoilt with choice of many vendors having US warehouses giving super quick delivery times etc etc.
Now with a few current issues upsetting that.- the sky is falling in a bit on you.

Dealing with drug dealers in China over the internet/Telegram/Discord or whatever is always going to be an interesting experience no matter how fancy their website is (or isn’t).

I do like that Jeff & Randy did a secret test order though - I’d like to see a few more of other vendors as well but could see where doing so could attract some flack.
Too many brand fanboys or fake reviews all giving he same standard “Fast shipment, best drugs ever” type review that you never know which are legit or not.

We need a Peptide “Stig” secret shopper that gives totally unbiased reviews and pulls no punches.

@Randy I appreciate your follow-up, but with all due respect, you are making assumptions without knowing the full personal and situational context behind them.
The exact moment I received word from our freight forwarder that the US would stop accepting shipments, I was on my way to a funeral to say goodbye to my aunt. I was traveling with only my phone and had no technical way to access or update the website's backend at that time. I immediately did the only thing within my power and put an urgent announcement on our Discord to warn the community as quickly as possible. The very first thing I did once I had the physical opportunity to do so was to update the site. Hence the discord update before the website update
So, without knowing the full situation and the emergency I was dealing with, please do not talk about a lack of transparency on our part. I acted as fast as humanly possible given the circumstances.

And regarding order being shipped away before yours. Most of the orders sitting there were strictly US warehouse orders, which should serve as a very logical explanation for why they were sent off before yours. They were not subject to the same shipping halt that froze your package, as I said before, mishaps tend to happen, theres a huge correlation between our reviews here before CNY and after CNY.

This is the problem with people sitting behind a screen acting like they have the whole picture infront of them, none of you have insights in how our operation works, the amount of time we spend on this company and what goes on in the backend. At the end of the day, we're only human aswell. we put on our pants one leg at a time just as you do. Could we do some things better? Absolutely. Are we actively trying to? Yes we are.
Did we go dark and run away with everyone's money like the abc 123 xyzzy, whatever their name was? No, we refund If theres something missing, with something extra on top.
                      We do what we can.

And while you are within your full right to write a review about your experience, remember that theres always two sides of the coin, your experience and what you make of it may not reflect the whole truth.

And since you made a remark about "7-9 days express"
Read section 6 in https://chimerapeptides.com/terms (which you agreed to when placing the orders)

I’m no stranger to ordering grey.

I have dozens of Jennys, Tessas, Lucys, and Tansys sitting in my WhatsApp contacts like a peptide-themed Rolodex of chaos. When I order from them, pricing is competitive, communication is fast, and tracking usually shows up within about 36 hours. Then, a week or two later, the package lands from China.

                        Pretty standard grey-market rodeo.

                        Enter Chimera.

They reached out to be included on Peptide Critic and offered a 5% coupon code. Full disclosure, we also get a 5% affiliate payment when someone uses that code.

Since I had a batch of Pinealon from elsewhere test poorly, I figured I’d give Chimera a real shot. I added a few things to cart, paid with crypto, followed the process, and received my payment confirmation the next day.

                        That was April 10.

                        Here’s where it gets funny.

Because I have access to the affiliate panel, I can see orders, what was ordered, when they were placed, and their status. Orders placed well after mine have already received tracking.

Meanwhile, almost two weeks later, I’m sitting here like a chud with:

                        no Pinealon
                        no tracking
no lab sample to send out
                        no warm fuzzy feelings

In the attached screenshot, you can see my order from the 9th sitting there marked as Warehouse.

                        chimera.png

I also asked about this in their Discord using a burner account because I didn’t want them to realize it was my order and suddenly roll out the red carpet. The answer I got was basically that sometimes their stock isn’t up to date.

Which, honestly, might be the explanation.

But if that is the explanation, that is also kind of the problem.

I sell products too. When they aren’t in stock, you can’t order them. Revolutionary stuff, I know. So if Chimera is taking payment on items they may or may not actually have, then the issue isn’t that I’m impatient. The issue is that their inventory system is cosplaying as a suggestion box.

I’m sure they can make excuses, say I must be new, or throw out whatever Discord-defense nonsense usually shows up when a vendor gets questioned. But I’ve been around the block. This is not my first rodeo.

It may, however, be my last try with Chimera.

I’ll update this once I receive the goods, and again when the test results come back.

I was told by an overseas contact that there was a shipment of narcotics disguised as lyophilized powder and that was the cause of shipping being shut down. Not sure if that’s all the reason for the shipping issue, though.

First, I’m genuinely sorry for your loss.

That explains why a Discord notice may have gone up before the website notice. It does not explain my order sitting in Warehouse for nearly two weeks.

                          That is the core issue.

My order was placed April 9, express shipping was selected, and nearly two weeks later it was still sitting there with no meaningful movement. That is not transit time. That is handling time.

And that matters, especially when Chimera is priced significantly higher than the random China resellers while presenting itself as the factory/direct source. If customers are paying a premium to order “direct,” the fulfillment experience should be better than Jenny on WhatsApp, not slower.

The recent US shipping announcement is part of the context, but it is not the main criticism. By the time that announcement appeared, my order had already been sitting for almost two weeks.

Section 6 of the terms also does not really change the issue. Terms saying shipping timelines are estimates is normal. Nobody expects you to control customs, freight forwarders, aircraft loading, or whatever else happens after the package is handed off.

                          But this was before that.

This was the order sitting in Warehouse.

If an order needs two weeks or more before it even meaningfully enters the shipping process, that needs to be made very clear before checkout, especially if express shipping is being offered.

Same with the US warehouse explanation. If the orders I saw moving were US warehouse orders, fair enough. That may explain those specific orders. But it does not change the customer experience on my international order, which was paid, accepted, and then sat.

That is the point I keep making:

                          • this is not about your personal life
                          • this is not about whether customs exists
                          • this is not about freight forwarders
                          • this is not about whether refunds are eventually offered
                          • this is about accepting payment on an express order and then having a nearly two-week handling delay before anything meaningful happens

The recent announcement matters, but the handling time is the bigger issue.

If Chimera’s post-CNY reality (2 months ago now) is that international orders can sit for weeks before moving, customers need to see that clearly before they pay. Not in a Discord explanation after the fact. Not in a forum reply. Not buried behind “shipping estimates are estimates.”

                          Before checkout.

                          That is basic vendor transparency.

@Randy I think everybody by now everybody understand that what answer you are looking for are regarding why your order sat at the warehouse for so long.

And as I told you, no one is without fault, and even if I canceled and refunded your order I'm still going to get to the bottom of why it did that.
Sometimes order get stuck at some point, sometimes mishaps happen, but in the end we resolve them one way or another.

What you're really bringing to light and staying on in IMHO rightfully so - are the symptoms of internal operational issues that this vendor is having without you knowing exactly the source of their problems. But it's always the same... process and/or people. Everything else becomes a distraction.

There are many things within a company's control that directly impact the customer's experience and any vendor needs to get those right to have a chance for repeat business and success. Control what you can control. I hope Chimera can sort through their operational problems because they do offer good pricing and really seem to desire to do a good job. But desiring to do a good job only goes so far - the proof is in the delivery/execution.

Peptidecritic has been an invaluable resource for me in this peptide journey and I wish you & Randy much success now and for many years to come. Thanks for all you do for the peptide community.

In pondering all of this, I really need to share the quiet part out loud. We are all taking the life of our Rat in our hands quite literally with each and every injection. And if, we notice "issues" with a transaction with any vendor (which have their root in operational issues)... in the back or maybe front of our semax/selank engaged brains we begin (or should) to question the quality of a product. Because where there is smoke there is fire. How is a company's QC when it comes to their product if the company is having such difficulty even clearly communicating to me or shipping the product I purchased?

Do I trust the vendor enough to take their product and inject it into my Rat? That's why Jeff articulates every chance he gets - trust but verify. The more problems a company exhibits the lower the trust goes. I hope this helps.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Proverb, aphorism, reality.

Also, when it comes to setting customer expectations, there are no excuses. Period. I have decades of experience living that concept. I also ran a business while being in a different country every few weeks for 3 years. I never found myself making excuses to my customers. Laptops. VPN's. TeamViewer. Shipstation. XML integrations. OMS's. Tools of the trade, figure it out or GTFO.

@chimerapeptides I placed an order 4/18 and middleman service made payment 4/20. Then just yesterday 4/24 seen the new post about shipments be haulted to the US. This was my first time ordering from chimera and totally bummed. There is no product available in the US warehouse or i would request to transfer those moneys. Can i get a refund? What are my options

Regarding your order I'll look into it and see where the problem lies.

@ChimeraPeptides I don't have any updates on my order and I ordered almost 2 weeks ago. Only email I ever received was the one that confirmed taking my crypto when I placed my order. $837 or so. I emailed after a week and then requested a refund yesterday and still no response. I just asked to join Chimera discord so I could try that angle to get a response even. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yet another person with a problem… Call me crazy, most people do, but I am feeling a trend going on here.
Bottom line, If you are in business there are no excuses - that is that. I own my own business and I have to do my job no matter what. I have to show up when i say I am going to show up, I have to be there when my clients call.
I am still waiting to hear what @michaelherriman is going to do to contribute to the community. Is he going to step up and pay for some independent testing of Chimamess’s products? Or is he just going to make excuses for them.
I have said it before and I will say it again - anyone reading this thread, you see the problems that people are having, you see that Chimamess is just offering excuse after excuse - CNY, that boat set sale a long time ago.
SO IF ANYONE ORDERS FROM CHIMAMESS - you only have yourself to blame if (or when) you have a problem. Some times they may come through, sometimes they may not… But there are other vendors out there, why take a chance with one that only offers excuses. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Please excuse my typos. Small Phone & Bad Eyes
