I have been trying to print my own vial labels using a NIIMBOT B21-S and 40x20 mm labels.

I first attempted to use @randy 's label maker to generate a jpeg and then use that to create a label.

Label looks great. QR code scans great! I then apply the label to a 3 ml vial... and my iPhone camera doesn't even recognize there being a QR code there at all.

I also fell back to attempting to create my own labels with QR codes in the Niimbot app... same results.

For reference my iPhone camera has zero issues scanning the QR codes on labels applied to vials from EZ Peptides (for example).

Is there a trick I'm missing?

You might need smaller qr codes so it doesn't wrap around the bottle too much. I have a few like that, I just unpeel and scan, but resizing the QR code should do it.

@bobbish That was a good idea. It turns out though that my root issue was that the URL for the COA was too long. So I used tinyurl to shorten it and now things work fine 🙂
