What has changed for you since starting Reta or Tirz?

Not just weight loss either — what other benefits have you actually noticed?

      For me with Reta:
      • Snoring WAY less
      • Sleeping better
      • Weight loss, obviously
      • Noticeably less joint pain

The joint pain one has me curious. Obviously carrying less weight can make a huge difference, but I wonder how much is from the weight loss vs. Reta itself.

I can’t see into the future, but with some of the additional benefits we’ve seen associated with Tirz, I’m interested to see what the long-term research on Reta ends up showing.

What changes have you noticed — expected or completely unexpected?

      @Juliano546 Great news! Congrats!

Re: joint pain, Google osteoarthritis and GLP-1’s and you can read about the anti-inflammatory benefits that result in lowered joint pain and a reduction in need for joint surgery. 👍

It also reduces heart attack and stroke risk.

Yeah, well, I’m just here for the research, man. - The Dude

If I haven’t liked your post, no offense. I have exceeded my daily allowance.

I’ve lost 20 pounds so far in 4 months. 202-182. Ten more to go. My wife tells me I no longer snore. I’m 68 years old and my last blood work came back biological age of 55. Once I get to my goal of 170-173 ish pounds, I will shift to a lower maintenance dose but have no intention of stopping entirely. There are too many other benefits in addition to the weight loss to totally stop. I’ve been on a stack 5mg Tirz and 1.6mg Reta the entire time. Will shift to 2.5 Tirz and 1.0 Reta for the maintenance dose.

Is it weird that I’m feeling kinda envious of people taking Reta? LOL. With the anti-inflammatory benefits and the possible cancer prevention, I’ve been thinking of microdosing it. However, I’m worried about it suppressing my appetite, which I don’t need.

Anyone microdose it without losing weight?

@jackiee Not sure if this would be considered a micro dose, but I take 1mg a week split 3x a week, so T/W/TH is 300mcg/300mcg/400mcg. I've never actually done more than 1mg because I don't want to lose anymore weight.

No negative side effects like nausea or GI issues. At this dose and how long I've been on it (about 5 months), I do still have mild appetite suppression, but can eat through if I consciously decided to. Food noise stays controllable for the most part at that dose and I still have a healthy appetite so I can hit macros/correct calories while simultaneously working on good eating habits/systems around food.

While I have lost weight and am grateful, it's sure lowered my bank account balance too. Geez...

@Eleanor Oh my, I have also experienced this unfortunate side effect!! 🤣 Conveniently, I've remained strong in my justification and excuse department for one's actions 😆 Much easier to justify when you feel better each round, I will say.

@Juliano546 LOL! How very true about justification and the unfortunate side effect. I should have enough for a year now and will await some REAL price cuts before I buy again.

I like the lack of food noise. My day doesn’t revolve around what I want to eat or how hungry I am, also the lack of desire for alcohol was a surprising benefit. I will still occasionally have a beer or a whiskey but it will literally be one drink and Im done.

@HockeyRat Isnt it quite amazing! I feel these medications help your body recalibrate from what you want to what you need. In my case, It truly trains me with the evil tactics of heartburn!! For me it wins each time, I tuck my tail and accept my lesson.

@jackiee I can imagine that would be a hard position to decide from. Short of engorging yourself for several months just to justify using it, I would definitely consider the method NobleOne mentioned.

I’ve seen similar approaches throughout different forums. Maybe not exactly three times a week, but people adjusting based on how their body responds, which I think is really the best approach. I’ve seen people mention going as low as 0.5 once weekly.

Obviously, I can’t tell you where the threshold for benefit would be. With it being longer-acting and building in your system over time, I would assume a lower dose could still potentially provide some of the desired benefits as it accumulates.

Trust me, I can still eat if I truly want to 😂 I just usually end up regretting it that evening when I’m trying to sleep.

My husband no longer needs to use his sleep apnea machine. He's breathing and not snoring. It's nice to sleep next to him.

@BeeKind That’s awesome! The snoring/breathing improvement is one of the biggest unexpected changes I’ve noticed myself. I’m sleeping better and apparently everyone around me is too 😂. I’d be really interested to know how much of that comes strictly from the weight loss versus other effects of these compounds. Either way, it’s pretty wild hearing how many benefits people are noticing beyond just the scale.

@researchcat That’s exactly what I was curious about! I was actually diagnosed with osteoarthritis at the ripe age of 22, and I’m 36 now. Over the years, and especially since using peptides and GLP-1s, I’ve started to realize that an old injury from when I was a kid likely played a big role in setting me down this path.

Between peptides/GLP-1s, massage, and chiropractic work, I’ve been able to really focus on correcting the way I walk and carry myself, and it has worked wonders for my joints. It definitely hurt at first as my body adjusted. I ran Cartalax and KLOW during that process as well, hoping to support the connective tissues that had spent most of my life being stressed in awkward positions.

Obviously that’s just my personal experience and I can’t say which piece deserves the credit, but the difference in how my joints feel today is pretty remarkable. I’m definitely going to dig deeper into the osteoarthritis/GLP-1 research. Appreciate you pointing me in that direction! 👍

Also, congratulations on all your success with you're healing and fitness goals. For me it's an addiction, I actually appreciate for once 🤣

20 lbs in 4 months is awesome, congrats!

I’m also with you on there being benefits beyond weight loss that make me interested in what long-term maintenance might look like. I’m particularly curious to see what the research eventually tells us about Reta as more data becomes available.

And a biological age of 55 at 68?! I’d be pretty damn happy seeing that come back on my bloodwork 😂.

Why not attempt to live longer and stronger while here for ourselves and the ones we love. Great work brother!!

@jackiee You could try adding a Ghrelin agonist like Ipamorelin or MK677. I initially started Reta and Tesamorelin at the same time then swapped the Tesa for CJC/Ipa and my appetite it coming back. I still have decent control and ability to tune out food noise but I can eat if I want to.

Tirz introduced me to Rita. Quest to possess Rita, opened the wonderful world of peptides that I was completely unaware of, and I met BPC, TB, KPV, Tesa, Survo, Cagri which all caused some dip in my bank balance but I'm sure that was covered by the lowered grocery, restaurant, and dessert bills.

@pep_researcher 😂 I can relate to this one. My wife started on tirz which eventually led us to Reta that was definitely my gateway into the peptide rabbit hole too. One minute you’re researching weight loss, next thing you know you’ve got a fridge full of “research” and a browser history that needs explaining. At least we’re saving on groceries 😂 right that is true 👍🏼

@martinmarin 😂 #1 alone is a win. But “healthy snowballs” is probably the biggest one. one positive change starts feeding into another. Eating less, caring more about what you do eat, feeling better, moving more… it really does start to compound.

@Mr-Smurf 😂😂 “Somewhat visible” is still a hell of an upgrade! We’ll take the win. Funny how losing weight can change not only how you feel, but how the world seems to interact with you too. Im a loud person so its hard to miss me. Must be the italian in the blood hands and raised voices with a whole lot of joking, makes me hard to miss 🤣

@Juliano546 oh absolutely. The world treats you way different even though its fundamentally the same person in the skin sack. Im not mad at it. Its biology to the core the fittest and finest are ones most likely to breed. This all happened so fast i havent even processed what to do with it yet lol
