really good explanation. Someone asked me last week if obesity would one day be obsolete and I wasn't ready to say yes yet, but it sure seems the tools are headed in that direction with medication.

No, I didn't get his guide. Should probably do that, but personally, I don't agree with everything he says. (Ex. NAD+ precursors orally more beneficial than NAD+SQ.)

@bangkokiscool It will be if our food environment changes permanently. Hopefully just past few decades of damage to receptors and hunger signals and taste was not permanent.

I bought his guide a few weeks ago as a show of support as I do think he’s one of the better YouTube Dr. in the space.

Unfortunately the guide is very basic and leaves a lot to be desired.

@denti I like the man just fine, but I think he was forced to reveal himself as a D.O. He has all along claimed to be a "physician" and although I don't really fault him for that, the use of that term pretty much defaults to an M.D.

Notice how we have all these D.O.'s in the field and few M.D.'s. Sad...

What's wrong with the DOs? They are on par with MDs, in case you confused them with PAs, NPs, or Chiros. In fact for non-emergency/non-terminal problems DOs are probably better. Their medical training involves holistic consideration of patient's health and background.

FWIW, I consciously choose DOs over MDs as my PCPs nowadays. My exp with MDs has been subpar, textbook advices like eat less and move more and refusing to write GLP script and then charging $300+ for the visit for that Google search level advice.

Most of the doctors in this space are DC’s. I don’t have a problem with any of them being DO’s.

@stevepep Exactly. I think maybe people are confusing DO’s with the army of chiro’s (DC’s) that dominated this space for quite a while.

Yea!!!! They're all equal! If you read my statement (HELLO!), I have nothing against the man. I'm thinking someone else might have, which is why he added "D.O." to his channel name.

@Eleanor MDs and DOs are pretty much the same now. DO school used to be more DO-ish, but not anymore. They don’t teach manipulation and hands on stuff like they used to. Not for at least 20 years. Most all medical specialty fellowships are at least a quarter DOs now. I know when I am hiring, I make absolutely no distinction between the two now.

You’re getting the pushback that you are because this comment heavily implies you think DO’s are a lesser breed of caregiver than MD’s.

If that was not your intent, it’s all good, but that is certainly how I read it, and probably how everyone else commenting did.

No, I'm pointing out that the few M.D.'s in alignment is SAD. Thankfully, my M.D. IS for peptides, for which I'm very grateful.

When someone mentions that he or she is a 'physician', THE VAST MAJORITY of hearers assume that means they are an M.D. If you will notice in previous videos of his, he does NOT include the D.O. on the end of the identification of his channel name; all of a sudden, he now includes it. I'm speculating that something happened, someone questioned, etc. who he is and his qualifications and he is now stating it in his channel name.

This is how the trouble starts for most peptide channels on YT. Similar to Eli Lilly's lawsuit against open use of B vits and glycine by clinical pharmas. Different, but similar.

Proud to be on a gubmint watch list
