    The problem with the medical industrial complex is that it’s mostly focused on treating sick people, not taking a holistic view of treating a person’s entire health. And then there is the fact that many patients are what I will call unreliable collaborators. In the same way we don’t tell our doctors we’re using a container ship worth of peptides every month, they don’t tell their doctor they’re still drinking, eating garbage, etc.

    (Talking about family here) How many legs do you need amputated before you stop eating the God-damned Ho-Ho’s, Gramma Di?

    @ResearchCat I see this everyday I am in healthcare. Diet and nutrition aren’t taught in medical school it’s about treating the symptoms not the underlying disease. I have something coming out soon in the industry that is more holistic about patient care. We shall see if we can get the medical community to buy in

      When I take Creatine, my nails and hair grow twice as fast and get all good.

        @bobs Yeah, I have been taking creatine for a few years so I can’t say what issues that is preventing. Aside from clickbait Youtube videos, there is nothing even slightly controversial about taking creatine daily forever.

          @ResearchCat just compare your fingernail growth rate with it and without it, do an experiment.

            With the state of THEIR labs I would be surprised this is the ONLY problem found among "official" GLPs 🤒

              @bobs Not worth stopping taking either creatine or Klow to me. I have to cut my nails at least once a week, which is probably 3-4x more often than previously. And keeping my sasquatchness under control is almost an industrial scale endeavor.

                @ResearchCat what is your daily dosing? I dropped it from my daily due to weight gain. Cant remember but
                Might have had joint issues with it too. It was something i didnt want at the time.

                  I am skeptical that this is anything other than what we already know, but given the number of people using these drugs, it’s good that the research is being done. It’s not exactly a revelation that when you starve yourself, your body begins to literally eat itself.

                  In this space, we are all over the place with respect to using GHK, collagen, or other things to counter side effects, but the handful of people I know who are using GLP-1’s to lose a lot of weight under a doctor’s supervision are basically in ‘I shit myself a lot and my hair is falling out’ mode.

                  Speaking of, I need to go to Costco and buy another vat of collagen.

                    @ResearchCat
                    I would love to see a study done with a second group taking GLPs with calorie restriction not exceeding 500 and focused on side effects and benefits only, not weight loss.

                        @ogsteve standard 5g but i have tried 10g for a month. There are some folks recommending mega-dosing at 20g periodically for brain health and build phases. I did not enjoy 10g as I felt a bit bloated and swollen. It was oddly non-specific but in keeping with the expectation that one retains more water in the muscles.

                          I take 15g a day. Half in mornings water bottle and the rest in afternoon. I very rarely have any of the drawbacks people have on most things. Same here. No gastro issues or bloating. I will say though I have been swollen and bloated most of my life so maybe I am now. Lol

                            If you are talking about creatine dosage, it's in g not mg

                              @ResearchCat I actually kinda like the 25 g dose for when I haven’t had enough sleep or feel kind of crappy. It really does add a boost. But I’m certainly not doing that every week.

                              I saw somewhere the other day that if you put it in a hot drink that it absorbs better or something. I don’t know maybe ought to have some tea.
