Chimera Order Test: Nearly Two Weeks Later
-
@Commander
Have you ordered anything from Chimera yet or are you still riding cheese heads coat tails. Chimera has been up front about these delays ever since the end of Autumn festival. Anyone who can read and has been around a bit knew before CNY that it was going to be a cluster after the holiday. This is not just a Chimera problem three other Discord groups all have said similar in the last 24 hours.@michaelherriman
There have been multiple post on this forum by other members having problems with them. I have commented on those posts. And it had nothing to do with CNY…
Randy’s issue is not the issue that has happened within the last 2 weeks. I will say it again. Time did tell. And as I said before, anyone that orders from them has been warned, so don’t complain when there are issues. -
@Randy
The shutdown of three major players has forced their customers to seek alternatives like Chimera and similar suppliers. This has significantly increased the volume of smaller, individual orders being shipped. Freight forwarders, especially with fuel prices skyrocketing, prefer full containers over piecemeal packages and are prioritizing their large contract clients. As a result, smaller suppliers like Chimera are struggling to even get their products onto planes.
Add in heightened scrutiny and more frequent seizures, and the situation becomes even more difficult. On top of that, the Secretary of Health has brought peptides into mainstream conversation, which—combined with the explosion of new peptide shops on TikTok—has driven massive additional demand. This is putting enormous strain on Chinese factories and shipping networks. It’s a perfect storm.
I sympathize with your plight. There is no one size fits all fix. But, Chimera and the industry at large has been around long enough and dealt with setbacks before. They'll find a way through this and come out stronger on the other side.
This is all something that you of all people should understand.“This is all something that you of all people should understand.”
Correct. I do understand it. That is exactly why I’m pushing back.
I didn’t place this order as some TikTok peptide goblin panic-buying mystery vials at 2 a.m. because a guy with a ring light said his rat got abs.
I placed it specifically to evaluate Chimera as a vendor. This is my forum and my website. Verifying the customer experience is not some side quest. It is literally the job.
So I don’t really need the freight-forwarder bedtime story about fuel prices, TikTok demand, full containers, customs vibes, or “the industry at large.”
The issue is simple:
- Chimera accepted the order
- Chimera accepted crypto payment
- Chimera sold express shipping
- Chimera showed the order as Warehouse
- Orders placed after mine appeared to move while mine did not
If inventory is not actually available, it should not be available to purchase. I know, very advanced e-commerce theory.
If international shipping is functionally paused, that needs to be clear before checkout.
If “express shipping” means “express once we eventually locate the product, consult the oracle, appease the freight gods, and maybe get it moving,” that also needs to be clear before checkout.
That is the whole criticism.
Not “China shipping is complicated.”
It’s “don’t sell what you can’t clearly and reasonably fulfill.”
The rest is just logistics fan fiction.

There has been a ton of speculation and excuses about why people are having problems with Chimera, and it has not just been one person having a problem. For those who don’t believe that, go look back at the post. Jeff (Randy) spent his money to do a test, just like he spent his money to do a test on peptide degradation.
The results of that test are what they are, regardless of what he or anyone else wants them to be.
I would have love to find one of these grey vendors selling Mots-c for $50 a kit to be reliable. I will buy a lot of kits (I love Mots-c) Jeff has recommended I look into a certain grey market vendor that he has used in the past that might meet my needs (even though I am picky).
But to make those recommendations, he has to blind test the vendors. He has nothing to gain, but could loose his money. He doesn’t have to spend his money to do a test, it probably will not get more members here. This board will be here and get new members if he risks his money or not. And the members could just go back and forth and make recommendations to each other.
BUT of many vendors will create accounts on here, pretend to be normal people and recommend themselves to other members. Or worse, make excuses for vendors when there are problems… we all know Jeff (Randy) owns the board. We know his is not a fake user. He is literally posting screenshots of what he is seeing and what he is telling us. If someone thinks he is photoshopping that stuff, they also probably believe the feds or Elvis is following them around and spying on them.
He has said it from the start, Vendors are good until they are not. I always say Inspect What You Expect. He is inspecting whether or not there are problems with this vendor. Just like he ran a test to end the debate on peptide degradation after being reconed. I wish the results were different on that test, I wish the tested peptides were 95% at 90 days in the refrigerator. I don’t like the results (because makes it harder for me to plan out my usage) but the results are what they are, nothing more, nothing less. Is anyone arguing over those results? Are people on that thread saying the the test results are bogus because the lab probably didn’t calibrate the temp on the refrigerator and it was really 54 degrees in there and that is why the peptides lost potency so fast?
People what to ignore what is in front of them because they don’t like what they see. But like I have said before, No one can complain after reading what is going on with Jeff’s order if they choose to order from this Vendor. Everyone has to choose the risks they are willing to take. But once you have been warned - You Can’t Complain If It Goes South… Oder at your own risk. Don’t put your hands outside the car on the roller coaster. Don’t try and feed the Alligators. Plenty of warnings that people ignore and they or their family complain when they get hurt… -
As the owner of a FDA regulated and inspected 20-year old business selling direct-to-customer, the bottom line is as @randy described it (In multiple ways).
Set honest expectations and fucking meet them, if for some reason you cannot meet the expectations you set, then fix the fucking problem and communicate immediately. That's it, period, end of story.

Well dang, I ordered from them several weeks ago and finally got a tracking number. Since this is my first China order, this is all new to me. I choose them because they were on this site. Hopefully I'll get my stuff and it won't kill me.

@Hammertime65 you need to have the batches you ordered tested independently.
We have plenty of vendors on this site that are absolutely garbage. The reviews reflect it.

You missed this part?
So please be kind and remove that big red banner that says that we are accepting US orders.Regarding your order I'll look into it and see where the problem lies.
-
We didn’t miss the warning about US orders. It was not there when we checked.
A few of us went through the order process yesterday and the day before specifically to see whether US customers were being warned before checkout. We were not seeing that notice in the order flow.
If it is showing now, great. That is what should have been there before people paid. But acting like we somehow missed a giant obvious warning is not accurate.
There are also people in your own Discord saying they saw the US order notice after completing purchase on the site. That is the problem. A Discord post or a notice someone finds after the fact does not help the customer who already paid.
Also, the red banner on Peptide Critic is not the main issue here. That is just how we flag buyer alerts.
The main issue is that my order was placed and nearly two weeks later it was still sitting in limbo despite express shipping. That is handling time, not transit time. The freight forwarder explanation does not really address that part.
Ive updated the banner to reflect the current status. But the criticism was never just “there is no notice anywhere on the internet today.”
The criticism is:
- customers were able to order
- customers were able to pay
- express shipping was still being sold
- the warning was not clearly presented before checkout when we checked
- and orders appear to be sitting in Warehouse for nearly two weeks before anything meaningful happens
That is the transparency issue.

No Chimera for me… I have plenty of other places and things I want to loose money on first, the list is endless.
@Commander Tell me about it, me too…Im doing skin care products for my face, trying to be the best rat I can be and ordered another freezer container.

It wasn't long after I placed my first order that I saw on their discord that shipping had been shut down. I asked if I should cancel my order. A couple of people (moderators?) jumped on me--why would you cancel your order?! Don't be impatient. This is normal with foreign orders. Like I said earlier, I got payment confirmation on 4/13. Got tracking number on 4/21. Haven't heard anything since. I don't know if this is normal or not since it's my first international order. But I would not have ordered if I knew it would take so long.

@ChimeraPeptides
I can confirm that the notice was there when I checked right after you posted the alert on Discord. While I appreciate the work Randy does, it really does make you question the motive behind placing an order during a time when he even admits you've already alerted the public to the shipping issues. For the last two-plus months we've had consistent delays from freight providers, you've warned us of this since December, yet here we are with complaints after only 14 days when the current standard has been three weeks before shipping. -
Motive? Information and reputation… A lot of people spend (More like waste) for information. Last moth I spent money on Test for a Peptide I am not even using, just to see if it was what it was claimed to be. I also spent money cutting my pens apart so we can see what was inside instead of speculating off of internet rumors. Jeff spent I don’t know how much, but I know it was a lot, on a degradation test of peptides to put the internet rumors to bed. SOME people contribute, so just keep passing on information the “heard or read” with nothing to back it up. I am pretty sure Jeff could have used the money he spent on that test for something else. It is pretty clear why he spent that money and passed along the information - Information and reputation. They actually mean something to some people.
michaelherriman how about you do us a favor and maybe pay for some independent test. In fact, how about you order from Chimera and send it to a lab in the USA that we all pick. Time to contribute…. -

Right. After the alert was posted.
That does not prove it was there when I ordered on April 9 (it wasnt). It also does not change the fact that several of us went through the order flow before this thread and were not seeing a clear warning before checkout.
Also, let’s not rewrite the timeline here. I did not place an order after making a public alert about Chimera. I placed the order first, waited nearly two weeks, saw it sitting in Warehouse, saw similar complaints in their Discord, and then posted about it.
The “motive” was extremely sinister, though: I ordered from a vendor listed on my own site to see what the customer experience was like.
Terrifying stuff.
And if the “current standard” is now three weeks before shipping, then that needs to be shown clearly before checkout. Not buried in Discord. Not discovered after payment. Not explained by forum defenders after the fact.
Because Chimera was still selling express shipping as “7–9 days in transit.” If there is also a three-week handling delay before transit even starts, that is not a small detail. That is the headline.
So thank you for making the point for me:
If three weeks before shipping is the new normal, customers should know that before they pay.

Damn!
I dunno if I want to do my review on them at all now.
Actually I think I will anyway and accept the heat.
I’m starting to think you US guys (99% of the people on here?) have been too spoilt with choice of many vendors having US warehouses giving super quick delivery times etc etc.
Now with a few current issues upsetting that.- the sky is falling in a bit on you.Dealing with drug dealers in China over the internet/Telegram/Discord or whatever is always going to be an interesting experience no matter how fancy their website is (or isn’t).
I do like that Jeff & Randy did a secret test order though - I’d like to see a few more of other vendors as well but could see where doing so could attract some flack.
Too many brand fanboys or fake reviews all giving he same standard “Fast shipment, best drugs ever” type review that you never know which are legit or not.We need a Peptide “Stig” secret shopper that gives totally unbiased reviews and pulls no punches.

@Randy I appreciate your follow-up, but with all due respect, you are making assumptions without knowing the full personal and situational context behind them.
The exact moment I received word from our freight forwarder that the US would stop accepting shipments, I was on my way to a funeral to say goodbye to my aunt. I was traveling with only my phone and had no technical way to access or update the website's backend at that time. I immediately did the only thing within my power and put an urgent announcement on our Discord to warn the community as quickly as possible. The very first thing I did once I had the physical opportunity to do so was to update the site. Hence the discord update before the website update
So, without knowing the full situation and the emergency I was dealing with, please do not talk about a lack of transparency on our part. I acted as fast as humanly possible given the circumstances. And regarding order being shipped away before yours. Most of the orders sitting there were strictly US warehouse orders, which should serve as a very logical explanation for why they were sent off before yours. They were not subject to the same shipping halt that froze your package, as I said before, mishaps tend to happen, theres a huge correlation between our reviews here before CNY and after CNY.
This is the problem with people sitting behind a screen acting like they have the whole picture infront of them, none of you have insights in how our operation works, the amount of time we spend on this company and what goes on in the backend. At the end of the day, we're only human aswell. we put on our pants one leg at a time just as you do. Could we do some things better? Absolutely. Are we actively trying to? Yes we are.
Did we go dark and run away with everyone's money like the abc 123 xyzzy, whatever their name was? No, we refund If theres something missing, with something extra on top.
We do what we can.And while you are within your full right to write a review about your experience, remember that theres always two sides of the coin, your experience and what you make of it may not reflect the whole truth.
And since you made a remark about "7-9 days express"
Read section 6 in https://chimerapeptides.com/terms (which you agreed to when placing the orders)
