New announcement FDA for June 29

Just saw a article saying fda has decided not to allow compounding pharms to do tirzep or ozempic.Looks like craps going to hit the fan.
-
Yep looks like big pharma gonna get richer because they care about peoples health
-
It depends on how you look at it american tax payers fund the developement of these drugs and then the pharma companies charge 1800.00 for a month of it.we all know it doesnt cost that much to get it out to the public.

I agree with your opinion. However, without delving into the factual depths of big pharma's profit vs. risk, the common man should not make policy on the fly. We do need the brilliant researchers to do their work.
Voters must make this an election issue. Congress must create a system that allows big pharma to profit only when the vast majority gets healthier and gets punished when the opposite occurs. -

Been advocating the same. Big pharma is important for inventions and heavy lifting of multi billion $$ clinical trials etc. RUO labs or compounding pharmacies ain't gonna do that.People should bring affordability pressure on lawmakers through their votes. Insurance and PBMs also need major reforms. They are the true snakes who deny coverage.
Reddit has people cursing Novo and Lilly n discussing their CEO salaries, expecting them to become like social service entities... Hilarious

I do understand about profitability but many other countries get the good price and we get to pay for it,meanwhile insurance companies play games with coverage.
-
@mikepinkerton indeed they do, insurance is so frustrating.
-
My insurance changed me from tirzep to ozempic to zepbound to wegovy all in 6 months finally gave up went grey
-
@mikepinkerton that’s crazy. I had to appeal multiple times for tirz, had already tried wegovy, didn’t go well. Sat and listened to the exchange between dr and insurance, the games insurance companies play should be a crime lol. In the end, they approved but then shortly after, my insurance changed to a different company, $300 deductible no matter what, so threw them the middle finger and moved on lol
