Can anyone recommend a pen that can push subq T
-
Hi,
I just started daily subq T injections. I dropped a bunch of money on gansulin pen with 29g needles, and I’m a bit disappointed. I should have listened to what people said. Basically I have to inject .10ml a day and it doesn’t give me confidence it’s injecting it. I tried injecting into 29g syringe twice. The first time it seemed to only inject .05ml and the second time it struggled but got to .1ml.
Are there any new pens that can push oils? Too bad there aren’t needle tips for them larger than 29g, because that would help a lot.

Try warming the oil to help the viscous oil to flow. I bought a baby wipe warmer off amazon and I put the pen(currently using a V2) in the warmer for about 5 minutes. Works just fine. I just bought a Gansulin and plan on using it going forward with 29g tips.

I have no problem using a v2 pen with 1/2" 29g daily IM into side of thigh at room temperature. Slow easy push with a quality pen that will not slip.

@kenhnsy v2 is manual right? Maybe I need to get a manual pen where I can push harder and steadier.

V2 is manual and has the retracting cover. I like this because I can inject my girlfriend's big brown beaver with a lot of pressure to get into the muscle and no risk of slipping side to side. I recommend having a case since the open end on the pen exposes it to the world of microbes during storage.
