FILTERING NAD+ HELP!
-
Hi, So I’ve been filtering all my peptides and very familiar with the process. Recently I’ve done 2 already of filtering NAD+ 1000mg vial. It took about an hour to push it thru the filter! I thought I blew out the filter or something. I know it’s a bigger chain of amino acids. That I believe it has something to do with it bonding to the filter making very difficult to push thru. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to filter this NAD+???

What kind of filter did you use?
A 0.22-micron sterile syringe filter made of Polyethersulfone (aka PES) or PVDF which feature low protein binding is recommended. You should avoid cellulose filters because they tend to bind to and absorb the peptide.

Yes what brithus said.
Also, if I'm doing more than one cart (>3ml) I pick a 25mm diameter.
ALSO- ensure your filter spec is hydrophilic NOT hydrophobic if the choice is offered!
The correct choices have your filtering occurring with a few seconds push.
PS- I know you weren't dumb enough to not be using a breather needle...
PSS- Voice of experience, I always filter my NAD+
