The OTP guy has a new video in which he says L company is planning to bring out GLP-3R through their DTC outlet, priced similar to current branded GLP-2T and bring down prices of GLP-2T to around $250.

I chuckled at this news thinking — finally the big brothers are waking up to the fact that keeping prices high or making access hard won't automatically compel people to pay those prices. This is America, land of free markets and capitalism. People will find alternatives and those players will take away business. Better to learn this sooner than later and play by the rules. 😂

@pep_researcher if anything the initial costs and insurance companies fucking people around coupled with doctors needing people to be the size of a cruise liner to prescribe drugs that have less side effects than the stuff they use in place of it made a perfect storm for the grey market. Now americans hate pharma more and chinese compounders get to buy their 20th buick this year. 🤣 Good job corpos

You can buy Tirzepatide (Zepbound) directly from Lilly for $450 for 60 mg, that's the official public price.

@vpeptides Yeah but no doctors who care for their license prescribe 15mg directly. I know a friend who very much wanted the branded version but only for wellness. He couldn't get insurance approval. His doc said even through L Direct he will have to follow titration schedule, 2.5, 5... so on, which would sky rocket my friend's out of pocket with no credit towards deductible.

He said f*** it, went with compounded T first and then jumped to RUO to get Reta along with all the other wellness peps that our darling Eff Dee Aa banned a couple of years ago.

Now he ain't going back to waiting for Eff Dee Aa signoffs. 😂

@pep_researcher this is the price without insurance, but you are right, you have to start with 2.5 mg × 4 and go up monthly.
