My rat is currently off the lowest dose of prescribeable Tirz (2.5mg) and I've noticed the sleep quality is so much better without it and I don't feel lazy about working out anymore. I think my rat is a hyper-responded to this peptide.

Sleeping actually feels restful and refreshing. My rat has cycled off and on it a few times, so it's not a new phenomenon.

Now that I'm starting my rat on self-reconstituted Tirz, I can select the exact dose.

I'm curious if anyone has come across common doses below the 2.5mg that pharma suggests.

Sure, any dose below that could theoretically work, but I'm not sure what the pharmacokinetics of this compound is like. I don't want to go too low and not have it have an impact, but I also don't want to wreck my sleep and energy levels again.

The goal is mild/steady weight loss and appetite/craving control without the loss of energy.

I’d go as low as works for you and not worry about it too much. I have been between 2.5mg and 5mg for a few months and have been pretty flat weight wise. I have seen where people take 5mg every other week, or a half dose twice a week(which doesn’t really make a lot of sense, tbh, but whatever).

If you are that sluggish, you probably either need to eat more or you need to reset your metabolism.

Please set a funny and sarcastic signature line. It brings me joy. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

I'm looking forward to micro-dosing by EOY and if 2.5 was the last dose, all you can really do is just lessen it by half a mg, or even a quarter mg until it feels right. That's what I'd try first. One thing your right about is that Tirz makes you very fatigued; workouts are a major chore. Without NAD+, I'm not sure I could hold a job; I'm that sensitive to all this. One reason I took it out of Dr.'s hands; they kept wanting to up the dose.

I've been on tirz between 2.5 mg and 5 mg per week, and maintained my goal weight without much to speak of in terms of side effects. I do a split dose (Sun and Wed), which I found early on reduced the few side effects I had. I attribute this to having a more steady concentration of tirz in my system vs peak and valleys of dose variance.
The website below allows you to change your dose and frequency (and even choose between tirz, semaglutide and reta) and shows the concentration of GLP-1 in your body in a graph - again based on dosage and the schedule you choose to inject it.
Everyone reacts differently to GLP-1s, so you might find 1.25 mg weekly works for you while I need 2.5 mg to have the same results. I personally think it's a bit of trial and error.
Just out of curiosity is your 'laziness' about working out - more being motivated or lack of energy when on tirz?

@christexer Yeah, I love that site! I'm not at goal weight yet; got about 20-25 lbs to go. Then, I back off the Tirz slowly. It'll be EOY, if not early 2027. @volume-1 I'm a big fan of NAD+. If you find you can't manage the fatigue, you might want to consider it. The fatigue is rough for some of us.

I've been taking Tirz for 2 years. I was basically on 2.5 mg the first year while I was losing weight. I went from 190 to 120lbs. I had attempted to increase the dosage to 5 after the first month but the nausea was so unbearable that I reverted to 2.5 after only 2 weeks at 5mg. I hit goal weight of 120 in about 10 months. I stayed on it though because of the other benefits I get from it. Prior to taking Tirz, I was nearly crippled from chronic joint pain due to psoriatic arthritis. I also had major brain fog, sleep issues and severe fatigue due to Hashimotos/hypothyroid issues. With Tirz, all of that is completely gone and I feel amazing so I plan to stay on this forever. Over the past year, I have been taking 1.75mg doses just for those benefits.

SW: 190 | CW: 120 | Height: 5'6" |Age: just turned 61 in May. Here is my before/after pic for those interested. img_20240622_13092r.jpg

@brithus Great story, and congrats on your success! I was similar, but different. I went from 2.5mg to 10mg on the standard plan but almost immediately started bringing it back down because at 10mg I didn’t eat or poop and was losing a lot of muscle as well as fat. I am doing 5mg at the moment and starting to come down.

At this point, I am not so much trying to lose weight as gain muscle while not gaining weight. I am about 6-10 pounds over my lowest point and trying to find a maintenance dose that lets me hit macros without wanting to knock over an ice cream shop. It’s a tough balance because GHRH do make me a bit hungrier. Thankfully I don’t get sluggish or sleepy on Tirz, or at least don’t perceive it as such.
