New to pens/travel question
-
Regarding the pen sizes, the ones you mentioned are all pretty much the same size. Of those three, I would recommend the V4. It's nicer than the V2 and the V3.5 are out of stock. According to another post the V4's are in the process of being restocked. Regarding the needles, a 32G 4mm pen would be fine. Many order the needles from Amazon because of ease (as long as your state allows it). But there are many other places like medical supply stores that offer them. Check out the video below of Jeff and Randy talking about needles. Many other videos on his youtube channel regarding pens are also worth checking out. If you look at the top main menu, you can click on Calc & Tools then select Research Supplies. It provides links to recommended products on Amazon.

Your welcome. Make sure to also check out his videos on how to load a pen. It's not hard at all but does require a few items you may not already have, like the syringes, vials, breather needles (a u-100 syringe can be used if you already have some), etc. Oh, and as far TSA, I've never traveled with mine but have read several people state that TSA sees these all the time and it shouldn't be an issue.

I flew in March with absolutely no issues.

People travel with meds all the time. I take my vial and syringes. No biggie with TSA. Search Insulin cooler travel case in Amazon or wherever and you will find a myriad of options.

I flew Thailand to Malaysia with 4 pens in a little yoghurt cooler case with ice packs.
Pulled the cooler out, put it in the tray next to my laptop. They never batted an eyelid.

I am traveling overseas and want to get the travel pens but new to those and wish they had a list of what was included or needed. Do they come with cartridges or do I need to buy those? I am assuming I need to get the Plus Pen Tips 33G x 4mm as well? Am I missing anything else? Thank you for your help!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDUugzcH4MIThe pens do not come with the cartriges.
You will need the following. They are available under the shop section or Research Supplies (under Calc & Tools Menu) if you don't already have them.
-Pen
-Pen Needles
-3ml cartridge
-3ml luer lock syringe and needle to draw from your vial
-Filter
-Second needle for 3ml syringe to attach to filter and inject in 3ml cartridge
-Breather needle - Small gauge, short needle or you can use and standard insulin syringe or one of your pen needles
-Alcohol Wipes -
It sounds overwhelming, but it’s not. The first time I did it, I had the video playing while I did it
