Hey, I wanted to get peoples experience that are on GLPs and drink coffee and/or caffeine. I ask because I see a number of video says that you shouldn't drink x amount of coffee. I enjoy coffee all day long. Wonder what people think, and their experience.

The biggest thing I can think of is dehydration due to it being a diuretic.

I drink a fair amount of coffee and haven’t had any problems. I also hydrate a lot.

Please set a funny and sarcastic signature line. It brings me joy. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

It depends on how old you are. After 40 something the metabolic mechanism of processing caffeine seemingly changing, so it starts affecting your sleep more. I try to avoid caffeine after 1pm, some even suggest to stop it at 11a or earlier because the half-life of caffeine is long. Track your sleep to see how it affects you. I doubt it is directly affected by GLP1 RA because the slower digestion won't affect liquids as much as solids.

I know for a while getting used to a higher dose of reta i saw some weird chest anxiety feeling ive seen before from drinking one too many energy drinks. So instead of the usual 300 i just stick to something under 200mg. Also depends on how much water i take in. Im near a gallon and a half a day. Really smoothes out all of my negative sides and any weird anomalies. Specially any gastric issues. In my research they warn against stims on glps but it could be just people being scardey cats. Who knows

@quicksilver80 I guess that may be a correlation. On glps people have no desire to eat so they also tend to drink less. It makes caffeine to stay in the system longer.

Caffeine upset my stomach after my first dose of Tirz, but now it's a non-issue. Maybe give your body some time to adjust, would be my suggestion.

I love the coffee!!! I Drink it or Iced coffee until 1 or 2 PM. Would keep drinking it, but I am 68 and it will keep me up if I don't cut it off. When I was younger, I would drink it right up until bedtime and never had a problem. I don't think it has any effect on the GLP's. I take 1.5-2 mg of Reta per week, and it seems fine. No issues with any peptides that I have noted so far.

Ohhh I gotta have my coffee 🙂 I did notice I don't drink as much, I went from a pot a day to about a 1/2 pot. Haven't had any issues with GLP and coffee, VIP on the other hand, I load up on the H20 and keep the caffeine consumption down.

Hi, my name is JtCJeff, and Im a coffee addict. However, while my rat is also a coffee fiend, they've noticed quite an increase in resting heart rate after starting Reta and have had to greatly reduce caffeine to a single, solitary, lonely, cup of joe in the morning. RHR is up +12bpm, and HRV has tanked! Almost considering removing it completely until RHR returns closer to normal.

Yeah, I can't go without my coffee, I drink it all day long. I track my RHR and HRV however not sure how the coffee changes it. I know Reta does. My sleep is less, about 4hrs I'm done. Not sure its the coffee however, as I drank it a lot before, however I think I'm drinking more now. I drink up till close to bed. I guess to tell how much is the coffee and how much is the reta I would have to pause the coffee for awhile and see what happens :(. Wouldn't look forward to that. Awesome info!

If it's not coming in as a contraindication officially, all that is BS IMO.

Researched four different GLPs in the past 8 months, lost lbs, weight training, and drinking coffee, black, espresso, cappuccino every flavor all this while.

It depends on individual preference and tolerance after all and there's no blanket rule and there cannot be one.
