I just read this and it has me questioning what I just started “researching”. Has the community read this and what are your thoughts?

I'm not a peptide critic (pun, yes) and don't know half as much as most of the others here but I do know when I see holes. so, I ask: What this article does NOT say is as important, if not more so than all the chemistry in it which they know people will gloss over.

There could be a number of things at work, including fakes; I don't doubt that, but it could be a combo of a bashing job (of Reta) and plain stupidity on peoples part, hence, what I call a form of 'natural selection at work'.

First, Reta came about NOT AS A WEIGHT LOSS DRUG BUT A TREATMENT (tx) FOR FATTY LIVER/MASH, the effects of which was also massive weight loss.

Second: Remember this is an Australian article. It's important bc of Aussie pharma drug-of-the-same-character-as-Reta called Suvodutide, soon to be approved in Oz at or about the same time as Reta is here in U.S. Survo does not have the GIP component that Reta has, therefore, it's beneficial to Oz to push Reta out of the way as much as possible. I can ask a whole group of people at work (medical) if they've heard of Reta and many hands will go up; virtually none if you ask about Survo. IS THIS ALSO A CASE OF DESTROYING THE COMPETITION? Believe it or not, this is a similar tactic to what's going on with US/Iran right now. If you want to know, I will elaborate in an Off Topic thread and not here.

Third: This woman, Megan Hancock (very common Aussie name) took 2 hits of Reta 4 days apart, according to the article. Questions: Had this woman ever taken a GLP-1/GIP peptide before? Any experience with them at all? What were the dosages? She might have gotten intensely hungry and taken more Reta expecting appetite suppression, which Reta does not provide until enough fat is removed from the liver. It would not surprise me that she had liver failure, IF what is being reported is true.

Fourth: What IS true about this article - NOBODY KNOWS THE EXACT RETA FORMULA, DIRECT FROM ELI LILLY. That's absolutely true. It is a VERY closely guarded secret and hackers have been trying to work it for some time now with no success. However, someone who's involved in performing the Reta trials would be able to find out, or something like it and could have leaked or SOLD the info to the outside. Can the same be said of the formula for Survo? Sure! I hit Survo, or something like it. Did you see the absolute moonshot LLY stock made when earnings were announced a couple of weeks ago? Holy crap! All due to weight loss drugs. We're talking billions, possibly a trillion or more dollars once Reta is approved; and it will be, count on it.

This post is already too long but ars longa vida brevis. In reality, YOU SHOULD BE TERRIFIED. You'd be stupid if you were not terrified, so evidently, you're not stupid. I'm a bit nervous when I inject the 1mg into kitty once per week. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD REALLY LIKE THIS SITE WITH THE TESTING AND FILTERING HIGHLY, HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Don't leave home without it.

I see this differently. Is it Reta for sure? I have no idea, but the labs somehow think it is. How'd that happen if it wasn't? Let's say it's not the exact same, the Chinese labs have managed to invent a drug that somehow works with a side effect profile that's somehow identical and with effecacy as the EL it's copied from, and the labs somehow identified it as Reta? That's a neat trick. If it passes all the test for identity, purity and no contaminants, I'm good, and so are probably millions of doses in what's probably been the world's largest off the books medical trials in history. So, 6 people over 6 months in 1 geographically isolated incident? That's like saying one car crash with 6 victims means all cars are dangerous. We don't know what was wrong with that car, how fast they were driving, and if they knew how to drive. To many questions here to give up the keys. @eleanor is correct. We have no clue what they took. Just because the label on some vial says it's Reta doesn't mean a thing without a coa to back up that claim. We see it all the time we're some bought one thing, turns out to be negative for anything. Reta Unleashed is dealing with that issue as we speak. Negative tear for a group purchase. All filler. Idiots started using before they even got the test results back! Is the system perfect. Absolutely not. But, this space is the largest ongoing testing group in history, and overall the results have been nothing short of amazing, for those that follow "testing protocol" that's been shown to work the vast majority of the time. Imho.

@stevev At the end of the day, it you and you alone that decides to take the risk into your hands, before you inject your subject. @eleanor makes some very good points, and i tend to agree with her. The "the drug doesnt exist" is just nonsense to me. Of course it does, and it has for a while now. She is spot on about protecting the companies interests for Survo. This part of the article is just noise in my opinion. A very quick google search shows the exact 39-amino makeup and structure, so to suggest some brilliant chemists couldn't recreate this to make millions before EL gets their patent, is just silly.

Now, the liver part should concern you. Again, your call and decision, but many folks decide their bare minimum of testing also includes endotoxins, which is at the core of the allegations. There are many vendors, or self-tests, that include purity and toxin testing. They arent the cheapest, but thats the riskVbenefit calculation you have to make.

There are ways to mitigate the risks, but as with ALL things in life, its not risk free.
