MT1 Body Composition
-
Mirata ran MT1 for a month (10mg across 28 days) and experienced significant body recomposition, especially fat loss. All evidence seems to suggest this is unlikely, but NO other changes were made. Has anyone else had this experience? We’re considering keeping MT1 as a longer term staple for testing recomp. Thoughts?

Are you sure it is MT1? It shouldn't have the effect. What else are you taking? Maybe it is just the other things and lifestyle changes you made that kicked in.

@boogiescoffer Hi, I am a mouse representing the researcher. I run MT1 in a similar manner. It definitely makes me to want less to eat and a fat loss is noticeable. I am on glp1 too but I've been on them for about a year and it didn't cause this belly fat loss noticeable as much. Who knows.

@Shaqdiesel that’s the ONLY thing mirata was taking.

MT2 has an appetite suppression component but MT1 does not. Are we sure you were dosing the right product?
@hunt_ak that was my first thought too, but none of the MT2 side effects have been observed.
-
@EXTROPIAN yes, but sun exposed only.

@gym.rat it’s definitely labeled MT1 (from Orbitrex)

"MT-1 (Melanotan-1 or afamelanotide) is a synthetic analog of the naturally occurring α-MSH hormone. By binding to the MC1R receptor, it stimulates eumelanin production, which darkens the skin and provides photoprotection against UV radiation. It is primarily studied for promoting sunless tanning and treating rare conditions like erythropoietic protoporphyria.Key CharacteristicsMechanism: Binds to melanocortin receptors (mainly MC1R) to trigger melanin synthesis.Research Applications: Used in clinical and analytical settings to investigate peptide-receptor interactions and cellular responses to UV exposure.Structure: A modified 13-amino-acid peptide designed to overcome the short half-life of natural α-MSH.Common ConsiderationsReported Effects: Studies and anecdotal reports frequently cite facial flushing, nausea, and increased libido.Pigmentation: It can cause darkening of existing moles or freckles, and general uneven pigmentation changes.Safety: Use without medical supervision carries significant health and quality risks. It is contraindicated for individuals with a history of melanoma or skin cancer."

The only body composition was that nice tan highlighting your best features my brother.
Sounds like one of the GLP or Tesa if you got lucky. lol@EXTROPIAN it most definitely did the job on the tan…

@boogiescoffer I am in the same boat, man. Good tanning with MT1 (only under the sunlight, not like with MT2), but a good appetite suppression and visible fat loss too. Don't worry, if it's not described or not theoretically explained (yet) doesn't mean it's not real or possible.

@vpeptides Never know.

Maybe this falls under 'if you can't tone it, tan it'...where the tan is making the body comp look better! HAHA!
@hunt_ak some of that for sure. But I’m talking belt loops down…
