    "Casomorphins and gliadorphins (also called gluteomorphins) are bioactive opioid peptides created when the body incompletely digests casein (from dairy) and gliadin (from gluten). Because they share a similar N-terminal amino-acid sequence, these exorphins can act directly on the nervous system, mimicking the effects of opioid drugs.

    If the peptides manage to breach the intestinal barrier (leaky gut) and the blood-brain barrier, they bind to opioid receptors in the brain. This activity has been hypothesized to alter focus, mood, and behavior."

    Basically a leaky gut makes the 'slop more addicting.
