    Why THC and Retatrutide Clash
Opposing Appetite Signals: Retatrutide acts on the brain to powerfully suppress appetite and induce fullness. THC activates CB1 receptors in the brain to trigger hunger ("the munchies"), directly fighting the weight-loss benefits of the medication.

Compounded Digestive Slowing: Retatrutide works partly by slowing down gastric emptying (how fast your stomach empties food). THC also slows down gastrointestinal motility. Combining them can cause severe digestive stagnation, leading to extreme nausea, vomiting, or constipation.

No Receptor Blockade: THC inhibits the natural release of your body's own endogenous GLP-1 and GIP hormones from the gut. However, it does not block Retatrutide from binding to its targets, because Retatrutide is an injected synthetic molecule that directly floods and activates those receptors independently.

@EXTROPIAN I am not a user other than a gummy here and there but I have buddies who have lost major weight and partake every day. The science may say otherwise but it still works

@EXTROPIAN no clue but I would bet more than half the people on glp-1 indulge. It would make sense if they are snaking on carbs it would slow things down. It’s always calories in, calories out the best thing you can do on Reta is exercise and not just lift, cardio. Get that heart pumping

Certain terpenes cause the munchies. They could look into using those that dont.

Just someone with a fridge full of research and a browser history that would concern my doctor.

My spouses rat has a medical card, and medicates multiple times a day. Is also on 3mg of Reta. Zero issues have been reported, except nausea the day after a titration up at the beginning. Has averaged 1.5lbs loss a week with protein centered diet, lift to failures 3x a week, and cardio 1x a week. His munchies snack is strawberry Greek yogurt.

Follows research backed science, not the gym bro’s.

@MyB I had a med card in NYC for carts. I always micro dosed. I had my best work outs under it til this day. Agree to all the above. One of my favorite munchies on or off is papaya, cottage cheese and heavy on the honey. You can get fancy with Greek yogurt, assorted fruits and honey. My wife's fav.

So the real question is. Which is the best strain that will compliment GLP1 and GIP?

I take edibles fairly regularly. I get zero munchies taking 1.5mg Tirz every 3.5 days. It’s also a mindset of “I want to finish my cut, and I know that binging snacks will prevent me from achieving my goal”.

@EXTROPIAN Durban poison has high thc-v which is typically an appetite suppressant.

Hey guys there is something to THC and semax. Semax is present when hanging out with Mary Jane. I now realize Reta was in her own little world. You can dial Semax when you're high. The focus of thc with the presents of semax, it was an experience.

Is it possibly something with the Glucagon aspect maybe? I consume it pretty often with Tirz and before that Sema and never had an issue. I also tended towards Sativas and particularly Pinene and Limonene heavy strains. 🤷‍♂️

I been chasing Ghost OG and Blue Dream. I am a Sativa fan. I stopped because of the munchies override. I am a Micro doser, doesn't take much for me. Back in the days a blunt would last me months.
Now I have my eye on Durban Poison as suggested. What other strain will suppress hunger?
