Newbie here and I have a couple of questions about setting the pen to the dosage I want. I have a V2 pen and I want to start with 0.5 mg. of reta, however the dial does not have 1/2 dosages it just has whole numbers 1,2,3 etc. Is it not possible to set pen at 0.5? Also, the reta I have is 10 mg. and the vials I have is for 30mg is this a problem? I know that I couldn't put more that 30mg. in the vial but is putting 10mg. going to be an issue since it won't fully fill the vial and thereby have air in it? Sorry if these are stupid questions I'm just trying to get my head wrapped around this. Thanks

My friend please make sure you educate yourself for a while before beginning to research. Watch all the videos you can. Not stupid questions but shows a need for more education on the topic before beginning.

volume is units, mg is dose. Each number on the pen is 1 unit. Dont dose a lower volume than 10 units. How much water you add to the vial determines how many units you need to do for your desired dose.

If anyone else can help out here that would be great.

If your glp3 is 10mg per vial then adding 1ml bac. Water will give you 1mg for every 10 units on your syringe or pen. If you add 2mls of water to your 10mg vial you'll get 1mg in 20 units, or 10 units for every 500 micrograms or a 1/2mg-0.5mg. If you use 3mls to reconstitute you'll get 1mg per every 30 units. And obviously 1/2 of that (15 units) for 0.5mg.
Take Randy's tip and use either 2 or 3 mls IMO for more accurate dosing and don't forget to prime your needle before using, it helps with the pens accuracy, at least has for me

The numbers on your pen (clicks) represents international units, which is 100 units per milliliter. And your 10 mg vial will still contain 10 milligrams of compound no matter the volume you add to it. There's a peptide calculator here that can help once you get the fundamentals down

@charlescoyle Hey buddy, don't do anything yet. Use this calculator to determine the number on the pen to dial in, which is IU. Enter the dose you can select MG, then select the vial contents in MG, and use 3 ML of BAC water if that is what you used to reconstitute the peptide. That is the number for most peptides. For example, if you entered 1 mg as the dose, 10mg as the peptide amount and 3ml of BAC water, you would see 10 IU; that is what you dial in on the pen. Also, watch the video on pens under the community tab tutorials.

                @charlescoyle for a 10 mg vial add 2ml of BW. 10iu will get you .5mg. So you’d dial the pen to 10, that’s 10iu.

I'm not clear how many mg your vial actually is. Does your vial have a manufacturer/vendor label on it? If it does, posting a picture of it would be helpful.

Whew! Thanks for all the replies. I've been reading and watching. This is definitely a learning experience for me which is ok. I need/want to understand it. Also, I made a mistake about the vial size as it is 3ml and not 30mg. I got the vial (glass cartridge, that's the same thing, right?) from this website. I really learn from the tutorials and I'm glad they are back. Thanks again and sorry if for the dumb questions.

@charlescoyle we have all been there. There are no dumb questions. Go to @randy university get your degree and ask away that’s what this community is about. Where did you buy the peptide? Can you post a photo? We can take a look for you and make sure it’s decent vendor and the COA checks out and then give you more guidance.

@charlescoyle Sorry, I don't want to enter all my information to see the COA. Can you post a screenshot? So that's a 12mg vial without seeing the COA. Just want to make sure they have one, and it's not fake. I have not heard of this company; maybe someone else can chime in who has access.

                                So here is the breakdown:

-This is the calculation from the calculator on this site I shared with you.

-Use 2 ML of BAC water and make sure the powder dissolves, then transfer to your 3ml pen vial. Watch the videos on that.

                                • For every 1MG dose, set the pen to 17.

@charlescoyle That looks fine to me. Make sure you use the tested weight when you reconstitute instead of the 12 mg on the label.

@charlescoyle Looks good, and I verified it on Freedom's website. So for this, we are going to use the MG from the test at 13.8.

Use the calculator, and it will show:

-Use 2 mL BAC Water like in my post above

                                        • For each 1MG dose, set your pen to 15. The actual dose is 14.5, but I round up; you can round down if you like as well.

In the future, look for the COA when you purchase and verify by going to the lab's website. @randy has a great video on this.

To keep math simple I would add 2.7/2.8ml of bac water for recon. 10iu will give you your desired .5mg dose. 20iu will equal 1mg.
