Peptide Negatives: Anything Beyond Injection Site Reactions?

Over the last year, thanks to PC/Randy, this forum, and a lot of independent research, I've really managed to improve my research workflow. Things like:
• Vetting vendors more thoroughly
• Learning what to look for when it comes to COAs
• Sourcing better research supplies (carts, bac water, needles, etc.)
• Testing pen accuracy
• Reconstituting based on average peptide weight from the COA rather than the labeled amount
• Filtration
• Testing kits before researching a new batch
• Always low and slow (titration and patience)The more I've learned, the more I've realized that most discussions revolve around efficacy, while relatively little is said about when things don't go as planned.
I'm not trying to start a fear-mongering thread or debate whether peptides are "safe" or "unsafe." I'm genuinely curious about the community's experiences. Your risk tolerance may vary. I personally love my peps, pep pen collection, and now 3D printer…lol
Has anyone experienced a reaction that went beyond a typical injection site reaction? Maybe even something that actually warranted medical evaluation or treatment? Not really looking for those who started reta at 8mg tbh, but all stories are welcomed.
For me personally, the worst I've experienced has been fairly mild, some bruising, occasional itching at the injection site, and a small amount of nausea after my very first Reta dose. I always start low and titrate slowly, so I haven't had any significant side effects beyond that.
The goal here isn't to collect horror stories. It's to better understand where the line is between a "normal reaction" and something that deserves more attention.

The worst I experienced was Reta- it was my first pep and my first vial of reta, before I knew enough. I only started at 1mg but I think I just had really bad stuff. My husband and I both used it, and 48 hours after injection each time we would get violently sick, severe stomach pains (almost hospital worthy) excessive diarrhea and vomiting. But we were losing weight, we heard about "gastric issues" and assumed it was working the way it was supposed to so we kept using it for 6 weeks hoping we would eventually get used to it and the side effects would subside. I kept reading the forums in this community and came across something that suggested I had bad reta, so I tried 2 additional suppliers and virtually NO reactions, no issues, just the appetite suppression we expected.

@BeeKind Oh wow! Did you check COAs that there wasn't overfill?
My Cag came with 7mg instead of 5mg in the vial. Given Cag needs very small amount, without COA one would be researching with 1.5x the stuff which would cause more pronounced research effects.

@pep_researcher or worse. I dont think the coa was real

Vasovagal Reaction…..Recently had this happen to my rat. Luckily he moved to the middle of the room before passing out. Not fun and scared the shit outta my wife.

What pep/dose/etc.?
Is there a history of issue with needles or anything like that?

Many years in and only problem I have had is a little bruise here and there. Hoping that using virgin needles via pens eventually will put an end to that permanently, but I've got a stash of EZ pins to go through first.

@NobleONe Not at all. I never liked needles growing up but some days I pin 5-6 times. That particular day it was early morning so hadn’t had much water and no food because I was pinning my Ipamorelin. I did my Test, SS31, and NAD+….no issues. As soon as I was done with my Reta dose(3mg)….I put the needle down, felt very light headed and flushed, walked to the middle of the room and next thing I knew I was waking up on the floor.

I had a reaction to fake BAC water that looked identical to Hospira ( I later learned to check for the hologram and white lettering on black label). I ended up with an apple sized ISR and a fever that lasted a week. It was not a good start to my journey. I threw everything I ordered away. It was from purelabpeptides. The COA was a total fake. Then I joined here and got my graduate degree and that was a game changer

Had one subject have a big allergic reaction to MOTS-C. I'm talking a HUGE welt over half the abdomen. Immediately dosed benadryl and used steroid cream on the injection site and had Epi pen ready. Lasted several hours. Did not risk giving to that subject again. Other subject that started at same time with same vial had no reaction. So be careful because anaphylaxis is real and nothing to mess around with!

KPV caused me to retain a significant amount of water, so much so that I had to discontinue it. I was gaining about a pound a day while I was on it, despite no change in diet.And within three days of stopping it and taking a lasix, the retained water flushed out of my body and I have had no more issues with fluid retention.

Yeah motsc gave me a little red spot that went away in a hour. Ss31 regularly bruised me but found out it was more injections going too deep. Little side note. Unisom sleep gels is usually a higher dose 50mg? of diphenhydramine. In case you need some antihistamines in a pinch.

SS-31 will also cause increase in eosonophils, a type of WBC.

This surprises me but everyone reacts differently.

Kpv above 100 mcg still gives me terrible dizziness to the point of blacking out. It helps a ton with certain autoimmune symptoms so I hate to discontinue but I have to keep it very low.

@emkay I've had a bad reaction to one brand of oral KPV, also almost passing out, but tried a different brand and it was fine.
