CJC-1295 Without DAC + IPA 5mg + 10mg

For those who have used this PEP, is there a minimum amount of time you need to be able to sleep after taking it? I want to make sure I have enough time to sleep so I don’t wake up feeling groggy or experience any side effects.
-
Ive been giving it to my RS immediately before bed. Usually asleep with ~20 minutes. As close to sleep as possible, since ive read that the peak hits about 30 minutes after injection. No grogginess at all in the morning.
@JtCjEfF so no minimum 8-9 hours on sleep required?
-
It's taken before sleep in hopes to coincide with the large GH release that happens during the phase of deep sleep. It usually happens in the first 2-3 hours after you fall asleep. CJC and IPA half-lives are less than 1 hour, so you may arrange it yourself. These things don't make you sleepy or drowsy, by the way.
I personally tried using this combo before bed and it ruined my sleeps big time. It pushed my HRV rate to the floor so the sleep quality was terrible. -

@courtneydarrow Im usually getting 7-ish, maybe a bit more. Id love to get 8+, but its not required.

My HR has gone through the roof with Reta, so Im trying to get it under control and get some HRV improvements. My sleep is trashed since Reta started.

@JtCjEfF the best thing that helps me with a good sleep is not eating much in the evening. Eat as small as possible, as early as possible. Second best thing is to make the room temperature as low as possible or/and not using a blanket.
@vpeptides Appreciate it, but Ive been doing exactly that, and sadly not working. I keep the room at 64 at night (my limit) and I close the kitchen at 6, bed at 9:30.
I really need to find something. I used to get pretty damn good sleep, but this Reta is really causing some issues.

These secretagogues are definitely not helping me to sleep better. CJC/Ipa before sleep was a week of a total mess. After I stopped it I had a sleep of the year as a compensation. Now I am trying Tesa, just 1mg and in the morning. It also pushes my HRV down but not as bad.
-
My rat did a cycle of this before bed, it made his sleep worse. After titrating up we ended up going back down in dose to about half the maximum recommended dose and moving the injection to just after waking. The one thing I did find it helped was taking a small dose just before the occasional nap.
-
I can't say if it has helped me in the last month of use. But I did titrate a bit higher than recommended and suddenly had some wrist pain. Stepped it down for now.
-
I take it in the morning. Doesn't make me groggy at all.

What dosage of Reta are you using?

What dosage are you using now? I too have issues taking this before bed. In the morning, I can take any size dosage and my sleep at night is unaffected. In fact, I notice that I sleep better when on cycle, because the GH boosting during the day must have some carryover into the evening that positively effects sleep.

@Neil-McCauley I think I settled at around 150mcg if I remember correctly. But after the first 2-3 weeks I never ran it at night. Only in the morning and occasionally before a mid-day nap. After that first cycle I have not run it again. It broke my sleep too much to justify it for

Given the half lives being incredibly small (30 min/2 hours) the drugs are long gone if you're injecting in the a.m. by the time you go to sleep.
Many have the belief that this needs to be taken before sleep in order to be effective. You have multiple GH pulses throughout the day (4 total to be exact) in natural state. These pulses too also deteriorate with age, and there is certainly a benefit to enhancing them as well.

@JtCjEfF What is your reta dose? the increase in HR is normal with Reta but depending on your dose and how fast you titrated up it can leave you in a constant sympithetic state. I went through this with Reta. If your resting heart rate is too high it will affect your sleep and recovery and you will end up feeling wired but tired (thank the glucagon and your compounding caloric deficit)
What you can do is titrate down so that your RHR is not more 6-8 bpm above your basline on average, but lower is better. Find your sweet spot- Then focus on your corisol cycle and your parasympethetic nervous system. ie) get hydrated and sunlight first thing(slow walk outside) in the morning, then protien, then coffee and carry on the rest of your day, the set up is just as important as the wind down. It is really easy on reta to get up slam a coffee, skip breakfast get to work and call it intermittent fasting, you watch the scale drop but that cycle can set you up for Sympathetic overdrive eventually.
Do some breathwork, legs on the wall yoga pose, warm shower ending with cold water on the face for 30-45 seconds and sleep hygene - remove the junk light 30-45 minutes before bed screens and phones. All things that will drop cortisol and stimulate the parasympathetic system. I inject my peps and thow on the Pulsetto Vegal nerve stimulator for 20 mins and then its lights out.
Jsut adding the GH peps will give you a slight bump in cortisol and you might find it adding to the already disturbed sleep from Reta if you don't get everything else lined up especially if your RHR is 8-15 bpm above basline and your dose if 4mg or more a week.
The good news is the new idle of your bodies RHR does slowdown after approximately 26 weeks as your body calibrates to the Reta, but titrating your dose down to a sweet spot is better than riding it out like the human trials did IMO becasue you have that option.

I have two of those vagus nerve pulsing devices and they do nothing for me. I have a very sensitive vagus nerve, after I eat, my stress level goes sky high for many hours.
Recently I learned that visual stimulation at 40 hz may help switching the brain to be in more parasympathetic state. I had my Red/IR LED lamp that I used in the winter mornings, it had 3 modes, solid light, a 10 hz, and 40 hz. I usually just used the solid light. So, for a few days I have been using it for 5-10 minutes in 40 Hz mode before sleep. I see a noticeable difference. Lately my sleep got worse because of me using Tesamorelin. But these few nights my sleep got better and better, the stress lowered. It's too short time to tell anything, there are cofactors too, but I will keep testing it. -

@peptidelab Interesting....I have developed wrist and ankle pain / stiffness out of the blue, just 10-12 days after starting 250 mcg of CJC/IPA at bedtime. Do you think it could be from that? I would like to find out what the sudden joint wrist and ankle pain is from because I was feeling phenomenal before this.
