CJC-1295 Without DAC + IPA 5mg + 10mg

@peptidelab Interesting....I have developed wrist and ankle pain / stiffness out of the blue, just 10-12 days after starting 250 mcg of CJC/IPA at bedtime. Do you think it could be from that? I would like to find out what the sudden joint wrist and ankle pain is from because I was feeling phenomenal before this.
-
@ed1 as I understand, it's a common side-effect from GH-related treatments. I had no joint problems before, now my wrists and knees hurt.
@vpeptides That is not good! Ok, I'm going to let the CJC/IPA go. Thanks for letting me know.

Ugh...this also explains why I suddenly felt like my weight loss was going in the wrong direction. Fluid retention on GH.
From AI:
The most common side effects of growth hormone (GH) therapy are related to fluid retention and include joint pain, muscle pain, swelling (edema), carpal tunnel syndrome, and paresthesia (numbness or tingling). These adverse effects are often dose-dependent and typically improve with dose reduction, particularly in older patients, those with higher BMI, or females.Other frequent side effects include injection site reactions (such as redness, swelling, or itching), headaches, nausea, fatigue, and high blood sugar levels. Long-term or high-dose use may also increase the risk of insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, and gynecomastia (breast tissue growth in men). Serious but less common risks include slipped capital femoral epiphysis in children and potential increased cancer risk.

@vpeptides After looking into it some more, I may decide to stick with it and finish the vial. As per the AI info, the joint pain is from fluid retention and the suggestion was to cut back on salt, increase potassium and electrolytes, dandelion root and other diuretics. The joint pain should pass 2-6 weeks after starting as body adjusts. Have you found this to be true over time?

@JtCjEfF What is your reta dose? the increase in HR is normal with Reta but depending on your dose and how fast you titrated up it can leave you in a constant sympithetic state. I went through this with Reta. If your resting heart rate is too high it will affect your sleep and recovery and you will end up feeling wired but tired (thank the glucagon and your compounding caloric deficit)
What you can do is titrate down so that your RHR is not more 6-8 bpm above your basline on average, but lower is better. Find your sweet spot- Then focus on your corisol cycle and your parasympethetic nervous system. ie) get hydrated and sunlight first thing(slow walk outside) in the morning, then protien, then coffee and carry on the rest of your day, the set up is just as important as the wind down. It is really easy on reta to get up slam a coffee, skip breakfast get to work and call it intermittent fasting, you watch the scale drop but that cycle can set you up for Sympathetic overdrive eventually.
Do some breathwork, legs on the wall yoga pose, warm shower ending with cold water on the face for 30-45 seconds and sleep hygene - remove the junk light 30-45 minutes before bed screens and phones. All things that will drop cortisol and stimulate the parasympathetic system. I inject my peps and thow on the Pulsetto Vegal nerve stimulator for 20 mins and then its lights out.
Jsut adding the GH peps will give you a slight bump in cortisol and you might find it adding to the already disturbed sleep from Reta if you don't get everything else lined up especially if your RHR is 8-15 bpm above basline and your dose if 4mg or more a week.
The good news is the new idle of your bodies RHR does slowdown after approximately 26 weeks as your body calibrates to the Reta, but titrating your dose down to a sweet spot is better than riding it out like the human trials did IMO becasue you have that option.
@bfuller Im at 3mg a week, split dosed @ 1.5mg every 3 days. I started at 1.5mg a week and have titrated slowly over the last 10 weeks. I certainly dont think I went too fast or too high.
Ive had very little side effects, with just the RHR of ~8-10bpm increase over my baseline from May.
I use Bevel health and it CONSTANTLY yelling at me that im over training and need to rest. I have really cut back on the resistance training, doing just 3 days a week of a light "Recovery bridge" routine that is really very easy, but is designed to maintain muscle without over training. The bigger problem is the 15k+ step days during this project at work with long hours and all on my feet.
I close the kitchen at 6p every night. Im very diligent with that and due to my priority of correcting my insulin resistance, I also keep it very low carb. My glucose is very controlled at this point so I know my insulin is low enough for my CJC/Ipa at ~9:30p.
I do a quick shower ending with cold before bed to try to drop body temp a bit and keep the room cool with just a light blanket, and limit screen time getting close to bed.
Ive not looked into the 40hz light, but I def will soon. That sounds interesting.
Morning routine is 30g protein, then a small coffee on the way to work, all after drinking ~16oz of water first thing. Ive recenltly added NAD+ at 40mg a day and SS-31 at 6mg a day, both in the morning. I plan to add MOTS-C to the mito stack in two weeks.
My RHR did start to drop at the end of my last 4-week titration right before i increased to 3mg. It has been stuck since, but Ill give it a few more weeks before i consider dropping back from 3mg.
I recently did the full panel at Function Health and my cortisol came back pretty low, surprisingly.
Ill try the other stuff you mention!

Sounds like you're doing everything right, you may be a super responder to Reta like I was. I had dysesthesia at 1.5 - 3.5 mg that faded over time, it is reported most get this at 8-12 mg. It wasn't painful like some people explain it was just super sensitive skin like tickilish tingly on my forarms and sides of my body when my shirt brushed agains my skin. My heart rate increased with increased tirtration seeminly more than others experienced on lower doses too. But I was always withing a normal range becasue my basline was 46-48bpm without Reta. But I noticed as I got over 58 BPM sleep and recovery was not as good.
It sounds like with all those steps the legs on the wall yoga pose would probably be a benifit ftoyou. Try that with the 4-7-8 breathing method its a well studied breathwork technique, link below.
I did the pulsetto every day 2 sessions and from week 5-8 is where I finally started to see the results and now I'm usually asleep before my session ends. The 40 Hz stuff is pretty cool too. I listen to tibeten singing bowl recordings while i'm doing my vegus nerve session witch is a similar in theory with a bandwidth of different frequencies (Hz.) Apaarently doing breathwork and humming on the exhale has a similar effect on the vegus nerve, it likes the good vibrations. It all sounds woo woo but it is effective if you make it part of your night routine.

I have two of those vagus nerve pulsing devices and they do nothing for me. I have a very sensitive vagus nerve, after I eat, my stress level goes sky high for many hours.
Recently I learned that visual stimulation at 40 hz may help switching the brain to be in more parasympathetic state. I had my Red/IR LED lamp that I used in the winter mornings, it had 3 modes, solid light, a 10 hz, and 40 hz. I usually just used the solid light. So, for a few days I have been using it for 5-10 minutes in 40 Hz mode before sleep. I see a noticeable difference. Lately my sleep got worse because of me using Tesamorelin. But these few nights my sleep got better and better, the stress lowered. It's too short time to tell anything, there are cofactors too, but I will keep testing it.@vpeptides Which brand/ flavor of red light do you have? Have started thinking about adding that in.

@SkepticJen I am using this one, but you can find it cheaper, for $50 or so online on other sites, I got it from AliExpress. It doesn't list this feature (Pulse mode) for some reason, but pushing shortly on power button switches the modes between solid /10hz/40hz
