Switching from Retatrutide to Tirzepatide — Dose conversion advice?
-
It does provide appetite suppression but they are designed differently. If you look at the curve of dosage to side effects of Reta above 10 the gain is tiny but the side effects go way up.

Dr Jones DC has Reta down and simply explains it. He has quite a few videos covering Reta. He covers Tirz as well. Subscribe he is good. I just happen to agree with him from experience. Reta is not perfect but we figured out how it can be dialed to make it beneficial to the individual.

Dr. Kevin Joseph, on the other hand, lost over 150#, pulled back and started micro-dosing, got too slack and gained 20# back before he caught himself and started peps and exercise again. He is a big fan of Reta too, as well as the others. He and I have debated on a few occasions and he doesn't mind. Here's one that's interesting. He surprised me with this one, but will pass, for now. (Too much!)

I always see people say Tirz has better appetite suppression but at the same time people talk about using 2-4mg of Reta. What's the appetite suppression of 10mg of reta like? It wouldn't do so well in the trials if it wasn't suppressing appetite. People would out eat the glucagon effect of the weight loss. Of course 2-4mg of reta isn't going to suppress appetite like 12-15mg of Tirz.

Apologies if someone else has said it, but GLP-1’s aren’t like whiskey, where dosing has the same potency per volume/units(ignore cask strength. So 1mg Sema is not the same as 1mg Tirz is not the same as 1mg Reta, and approaching it that way is likely to make you sick.
I generally recommend starting at the lowest dose and titrating up to find what works, since people don’t all respond to different versions the same way, and most people seem to not like explosive diarrhea.

https://youtu.be/Urx7b7XxU4A?is=f9nir97G9Paq9KG9@EXTROPIAN I love his content but his prices are insane and his team doesn’t always respond or follow up. I would place him in the higher end of concierge medicine. The full package for my bride would have been 5-6k/month. (Just their HRT rates were pretty reasonable but high compared to other telehealth companies.)

@ResearchCat I ment he is informative. As for his services. I am not paying for someone to hold my hand.
