Question for the pen clan. What do you do if you have a dosage that's over 60 units (or 80 for V1 users)? Let's say 100 units. Jab twice or just stick to the archaic, uncool syringe.
@Nuncles This is almost certainly the wrong answer but I reconstitute so that I never have a dose over 50 units.

Ideally yes, that's the way to go.
But for instance...NAD+ 1000mg. I reconstituted with 10mL in order to keep the sting down. The protocol is 100mg so 100 units. I also had an RX with the same ratio of 100mg/mL so it just made sense to use 10mL. I realize I could have just used 5 or 6 mL to keep the units down, but I guess I was just being a panzy.

@SkepticJen @nuncles probably an even more wrong answer, but I choose a location I can administer the first dose, hold the pen in place with one hand without removing, turn the dial to get the remaining dose, and then administer the remaining amount. Not ideal I’m sure, but works for me.

@nuncles This wont help with your current situation. But figured I would share it. May not be the same for you. Started researching NAD+ buffered this month. Used 5ml Bac NACL for 1000mg. Followed all other good practices. 100mg dose no issues at all. Zero sting.

@Mydogdaryl423 NACL Bac has been a game changer for me. Like you alluded to everyone is different

@stevepep I know a few of you have used NACL with NAD+ successfully, but this is the only place I've seen recommend it. I'm still not 100% sold. I've seen it recommended for SS-31 and MOTS both here and other places. Besides, I'm down to my last two I need to finish SS-31 and MOTS-c.

I do 100U with one pep - I started off doing the 1st 50 and while it’s still in my guts dialled up another 50 and re-pinned but found I was tearing my guys up a bit with the movement so now I do one 50U pin - remove it - dial up the second 50 & repeat - I don’t change the needle or anything. -

@Nuncles the info is all over the place like everything else I asked my Md who also has a compounding pharmacy he gave me some info not specific to NAD from a reference that said BAC NACL was the standard for the peptides he compounds he told me it’s OK. So I went with that. NAD is one of the peptides I can feel the impact of almost immediately it’s been a go to for me. I have not felt any difference since switching other than there is zero burning sensation and no redness at all. I will add the disclaimer everyone is different

There was some info posted on here without any real reference that I could find that said it shouldn’t be used with unbuffered NAD I am not sure why that would be since regular Hospira Bac is the same ph -

@Nuncles I'm using with NAD, MOTS, SS31. Has helped with stinging. Turned my Reta cloudy so that's a no-go for me.

A syringe. You'll be going through vials so quick it doesn't make sense to me to even use a pen.
Yeah, I had realized that. Pens are still the new "hotness" for me so I'm okay with the number of cartridges I would go through.

Even with that if you are doing 60+ units the lump you get under the skin from the short pen needs is going to be pretty large compared to using a .75 or 1" needle to get it deeper.
You do you man but putting .5ml or more just barely under the skin doesn't sound ideal to me.
