@Stevepep I've a bit different take — the peptide ship has sailed already. They can't sink it. If anything 2023 FDA d!ck move backfired with explosion of RUO.

The younger politicos on the left actually are in favor of general healthcare overhaul to break up the big pharma, insurance, and provider cartel. So I'm cautiously optimistic! Let's see.

One thing for sure — politics needs to kick out old hags trying to rule from their death beds. How did we end up back to back with such mess for 12 yrs now?? 😞

I don’t follow politics closely. I only look at who is running and then vote based on their views compared to mine. I also look at where the money is coming from. Pharma is gearing up hoping they get these people elected and then can get more enforcement by customs, social media, restrict compounding, allow Lilly to not have to sue to get what it wants. Etc etc. I wouldn’t just take it for granted. We have two more years and we may get a look see into what they try over that time. My guess is they spend all their time impeaching people and doing nothing else.

@Stevepep Lilly has lined up everyone's pockets and the bigger problems are insurance providers than big pharma alone.

I still don't think things are going to get any worse, if not better. Enforcement etc is all about ROI, and that goes to my previous point that this ship has already sailed.

That's my big picture analysis because I do follow overall politics closely.

@pep_researcher I work in healthcare I have a front row seat. I was at a meeting with the APC two weeks ago. Pharma wants to restrict the market they haven’t been successful because they are fighting it alone no one is listening.Their law suits are going nowhere. They have gone full bore at changing that in this election cycle. It won’t happen overnight and maybe we get lucky and they stick to their core principals of solving nothing and wasting time trying to hold hearings and impeach everyone. I follow what effects my livelihood and what my company has to deal with very closely.

By the way if you don’t think there is ROI for pharma in enforcement when it comes to GLP’s you are very wrong my friend

If we are talking about lobbying and regulation, it helps to follow the money and the rules that allow it.

Back when politicians were banned from using campaign cash as personal piggy banks, they wrote in a grandfather clause that was not fully closed until the 1990s. Closing that loophole caused a massive turnover of senior politicians rushing to retire before 1993 so they could walk away with millions in cash. But incoming classes of politicians simply adapted, finding new ways to keep the corporate money pipeline open.

When raising money under standard rules got tight, we got the 2010 Citizens United ruling. The lawsuit was brought by Citizens United, a conservative advocacy group created by Republican political operatives. The 5 to 4 conservative Supreme Court majority ruled in their favor, opening the floodgates for corporate treasuries, Super PACs, and dark money to buy unlimited political influence.

While Big Pharma lines the pockets of both parties to hedge its bets and buy access, historical campaign finance data from OpenSecrets shows they lean heavier toward Republicans (around 60 to 64 percent) because the GOP platform routinely opposes drug price caps and strict regulatory oversight. When Democrats actually passed statutory Medicare drug price negotiations in the Inflation Reduction Act, pharma fought it tooth and nail, and congressional Republicans voted against it across the board.

The political irony is watching the Trump administration launch direct to consumer platforms like TrumpRx, taking credit for lowering prescription costs under their own brand name, while their party fought to block statutory government negotiation frameworks at every turn.

If people want to fix this system, they have to look at who created and protected the legal framework that allows corporate dark money to dominate our elections in the first place.

@islander671 my man old news I don’t favor either party. Look at recency. Pharma used to own the republicans they now hedge towards the democrats because they protect them. All you have to do is look at Covid with the jab, mask mandates, etc etc. from 2023 onward it’s been tilted towards democrats in, 2024 the last report we can publically see democrats received 26.4 million to Republicans 16 million. Some facts for context. It is reported that it’s tilted even more heavily towards democrats in the 2026 cycle. When we say things like 60/40 that’s true over the last 30 years but in the last 5 it’s not close. So there you go. They own the dems and it’s no secret. Covid tilted things. You can look at factually.co for backup they get these records from freedom of information act. Facts are facts

You are also correct about republicans fighting against lower drug costs in the past but now it’s gone the opposite direction. The money changed hands. Trumprx is a dumb name but a great concept that will help people and lower costs as long as manufacturing comes back to the US stabilizing the market. Good concept the execution will likely get screwed up.

Personally both parties suck why we have these allegiances to either party I will never understand. The money flips and then the minds change they are all bought and sold.

Measuring what has happened since 2020 as a permanent political realignment is a bit flawed, mainly because a single four or five year window is just a small sample size. It is not to present like splits haven't changed, but it does highlight the "why" money flows.

Historically, corporate cash as whole flowed heavily toward Republicans because that platform protected them from price caps and regulatory oversight. But corporate campaign finance is a financial hedge, not an act of party loyalty. These companies line the pockets of power, not who they like best.

In 2020, when the political landscape flipped and Democrats took control of the White House and Congress, the money naturally followed power. Pharma redirected its spending to buy access to the party holding key committee gavels and executive authority, hedging their bets to protect corporate interests from within.

Like I said before, if you want to see actual change, you have to change the system that allowed for the dark money to dominate our elections in the first place.

I don’t really discuss politics. But I don’t think Peptides are at any politician’s way into the office. It is a small group that cares about peptides.
The Country has bigger issues… Peptides will not have any effect on any big election. As far as peptides go, it won’t matter who is elected. Politicians change what they say by the minute…

@Commander for sure it’s not about peptides it will be more about payback to pharma. But like you said they will do nothing as usual other than political theater. They will spend the next two years with impeachment crap which 80 pct of the population could care less about and as usual accomplish nothing.

This is speculation of course.....I don't understand when a multi billion dollar company calls another multi billion dollar company they just believe or go along with whatever is said.

Rumor has it Eli Lilly called credit card processors, social media platforms, etc for their peptide crusade.

And did Apple reach out to the creator of the app? Of course not, Eli Lilly's word is gospel and who cares about the owner or the app or the customers who enjoy using it.

@dontfyourlife Lilly and likes probably give these companies a lot of other business. Like Lilly might be buying laptops for corporate employees from Apple, iPhones or other hardware and software, than fringe RUO vendors.

Lilly is buying AI models and tools from some big tech companies for new molecule discovery. So they oblige each other with such requests.

Also Lilly has got too big and arrogant due to GLP-3 popularity. I really hope some new molecule from another company becomes blockbuster and dethrone them.

It is not speculation: Eli Lilly has been entirely public about that campaign.
When Eli Lilly publicly called on payment processors, social platforms, and app stores to block unapproved GLP-1 and experimental peptide sales, tech gatekeepers acted to protect their own profit margins and minimize financial exposure. Under private Terms of Service and federal law, platforms like Apple, Visa, and Stripe face severe secondary liability and regulatory penalties if they ignore formal legal notices. When a pharmaceutical giant backed by FDA regulatory stances issues a legal warning, platforms shield their revenue streams by swiftly removing the flagged app or merchant account. Because these private infrastructure providers hold absolute contractual authority to terminate access, small developers are routinely deplatformed without prior mediation, ensuring corporate risk management and platform profits always take precedence over independent due process.

Google Android is also slowly becoming more hostile for certain apps. I'd recommend doing a small amount of research on open source android alternatives and what steps you would need to take to manually install apps before switching solely based on this.

Or you can do the math....

Dose (mg) = Volume (mL) x Concentration (mg/mL)

If I reconstitute a 20mg vial with 4 mL of water, that gives me 5mg/mL. Say I wanted a 1mg dose, we get the following:

                                1mg = volume (mL) x 5 mg/mL

We will then solve for volume by dividing both sides of the equation by 5. That gives us 0.2 mL for volume. Multiply that by 100 to get 20 units.

I highly recommend http://peptidelabapp.com/. They have a web based calculator that pulls from the data in the ios app, sends it back to the app and then you can dose with it. So this is how they worked around the Apple issue.

@ThePepPlanner Yep, that’s what I’m doing. Owners, and ChatGPT saying Apple has been coming down across all peptide apps. I’m sure Google/Android won’t be far behind.
