  • Test your Peptides -> recommendations?
    2 2sspectrum

    Hi all,

I have been thinking about buying peptide kits for research purposes from providers who only do in-house testing, therefore "self"-testing is encouraged.

    From my understanding:

    • Relevant labs (in Europe): Janoshik; are there any other trustworthy labs? I've also found Liquilabs s.r.o. Czech, but haven't heard from them before and dont know their pricing (would probably need to ask by email)
    • Relevant tests (from the Janoshik website)
      1. ID, amount and purity analysis
      2. Endotoxin Analysis
      3. Sterility -> is that even needed if following @randy's advice and using a filter?
      4. Heavy Metals -> seems overkill (unless possibly relevant if one would work with GHK-Cu)?
      5. TFA Analysis -> never seen before
      6. LCMS Screening for Peptide Contamination -> would identity and purity be sufficient? theoretically there could some other peptides in the vial which can lead to degradation?
      7. CHNS Mass Report -> never seen before

Testing seems expensive, and therefore my preference would be to find a balance where I can restrict testing to the most critical ones without compromising the safety of my lab rat (unfortunately, none of the peptides qualify for the Finnrick's free testing list).

It seems fairly difficult to find providers in Europe who have a wide range of peptides in their offering with the respective tests in place (compared to the US) - if you know one and think that's more efficient than self-testing, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for your advice and don't hesitate if you need more information.

  • Klow vials without Batch / Lot number - ask for return of money reasonable?

Silence from the provider after I replied that I am not living in the US (so dont have an address to reship) and asked whether they could reimburse the amount; will do a follow up tomorrow..

  • Klow vials without Batch / Lot number - ask for return of money reasonable?
    2 2sspectrum

Hi all, thank you very much for your feedback.

Yes, it's USD 169 per vial. The vendor replied very fast and offered to resend new vials. Issue is I am not living in the US (was there for work and not planning to go back this year), and they only ship to the US (or Puerto Rico for completeness)... So I am trying to ask for the refund again (and also am happy to send the two vials back; were stored for a few days in the fridge but then immediately in the freezer at -20 degrees Celsius). Will keep you guys posted!

  • Klow vials without Batch / Lot number - ask for return of money reasonable?

    Dear community

I ordered a larger number of different peptides from protidehealth com and everything has been fine so far, but today I wanted to reconstitute KLOW and I noticed that the 2 KLOW vials (bought for USD 338) do not show any LOT / Batch or COA number - different from the other peptides I got from the vendor (the information is usually on the RHS of the label).

I have contacted the support and asked for a return of money as the peptides they sent cannot be verified / confirmed to be tested. Let's see what the response is.

From my understanding they seem to be a trustworthy supplier, but cannot get over to put untested / unverified peptides to work.

Do you think my request is unreasonable (to return the money because they didn't provide the lot / COA number)?

btw, also ordered from Crushresearch and everything's fine there so far (would wish if they could extend the product shelf)
