Recently purchased 60mg Epithalon from Peptidology and it didn't reconstitute properly
-
I was curious if anyone else has had this experience with Epithalon and/or other vials from Peptidology. I purchased 60mg vial of Epithalon and mixed with 4ml of bacteriostatic water and it will not fully dissolve. There are floating white particles in the vial and the solution is cloudy. The COA looked great so I'm not sure what to think.
I previously reconstituted a 10mg vial of Epithalon from Peptira and didn't have any issues like this.
I plan to email them on Monday to get their thoughts but if the COA looked really good and this is an issue, I'm now wondering if I can trust the COA.

The attached shows what the vial looked like after 4 hours of slowly trying to get it to dissolve.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
@Grant_Gochnauer Something seems off. The standard vial comfortably holds 2.5ml water, 3ml upto neck, but NEVER 4ml.
Your pic looks like just 1ml water max.

It’s a 10mL vial (might not look that way in the photo). The picture here is when I first put in 3mL of BAC (3 full 100 IU syringe full) and when it didn’t dissolve, I added one more 1mL of BAC but it still never fully dissolved.

Filtering ain't helping that.

They’ll blame you for using cheap BAC. Hope you didn’t use saline.

I have used multiple Peptidology product until now. Everything always reconstituted fine. One recently opened vial didn't have vacuum and I was worried if it may gel of cause any research issues, but it didn't. It too reconned fine and research is going fine.

I only use Hospira BAC and have been using it for years with other peptides. Never had an issue.

I used Peptidology many times, including TA-1, which may be difficult, and every time it reconstituted well.

So I have ordered probably a total of 40 vials or so from Peptidology as they are one of my more trusted vendors with no issue EXCEPT for their 60mg vial of epithalon—-same thing happened to me…other than that, they are a very good option….I usually stack the veteran discount with other discounts to make the price more palatable.

@Grant_Gochnauer ...is it real hospira?

@Commander Hmmm I know your feelings but TBF to vendors this exact same thing can happen with one's personal independently tested kit too. If you buy a 10 vial kit and send one for testing, the results are just for that vial. Any of the rest 9 vials can have issues.

@grant_gochnauer did you try reaching out to customer care or Josh the owner? Their customer care is excellent in my experience and Josh is one of the most proactive QC minded owners I have seen.

I reached out to Peptidology and they were absolutely amazing. They cross-checked my batch with their quality team and offered to replace the vial free of charge. In their own quality testing, they recommended that the 60mg vial needs to be reconstituted with 6 ml of BAC and that 4 ml might not have been enough. In any case, they replaced it without any hassle.
They even offered to switch out my single 60mg vial with 6 10mg vials, 2 day Fedex shipping, no charge. They also included a free Hospira bacteriostatic water too!
All resolved within the same day.

@Grant_Gochnauer Great!
Off topic — Epithalon is different from Epithalamine. Epithalamine protocols ask for 5-10mg dosing per research. But Epithalon is a smaller synthetic compound extracted from Epithalamine, whose research dosing protocol only demands 500mcg to 1mg per research. So more Epithalon and thus higher capacity vial is not required.
My 2c!

That's great service. Exactly how it should be instead of blaming the customer like Southern Amino does. We all should support vendors that provide this service of level to us.
