I don't want to bother Cain, but I wonder if he thinks its possible they can get back to 99% again by changing their lyophilization methods. Or does this have anything to do with the API?

I also wholeheartedly agree that this shows how trustworthy and honest Nexaph is. Would be so easy to change labs for Tesa and not post the Janoshik COAs, but they still do knowing its probably costing them some sales. Class act they are.

Edit: Also shows how honest Janoshik are. I imagine Nexaph is one of their biggest clients, and they could easily fudge the numbers and we wouldn't know any better. Yet they stay honest and post the 97%.

@stevepep you are starting to get into my "open to hearing counter arguments" point. So are folks just accepting that while 97% isn't great - its probably what we were getting before from Nexaph and that everyone else using Janoshik is getting the same and we don't trust the numbers from the other labs?

@PeptideEd it may not be my best judgement but I want to start Tesa and have been waiting on Nexaph I am just going to order it. It appears it’s the new normal for Tesa tested at Jano

The reality is, that all the Tesa I've been using from Nexaph for the past 6 months has been 97%. I am doing fine on it. Never had any bad reactions. But still would be nice if it truly was 99%+

@denti Yeah - instead of changing labs they did something very smart with the first batch they had at 97% - they got a second opinion. They sent the same batch out to a second lab and made that data public. The second lab clocked them in at higher purity.

The reason that was smart is in a transparent honest way it implies that when you are looking at other labs 99%+ numbers for Tesa maybe you should think twice.

I also noticed they went right back to using just Janoshik for subsequent batches, probably meaning they don't quite trust the alt lab numbers either.

If anyone ever comes across a 99%+ Tesa COA from any vendor after these changes, please do post about it here.

I am now tempted to pick up some 99%+ Tesa from some vendors who supposedly lyophilize themselves and send those to Janoshik and see what it comes back as. Can narrow it down to if this really is a Nexaph issue, or if every lab is just flat out inaccurate.

@denti I can tell you the other labs are not accurate more to come on that. I am unaware of other vendors or lyophilize themselves other than Nexaph. Some package like Glacier

The highest I’ve seen of Jano tested tesa was Aavant’s first batch. This release tested lower but low tesa seems to be norm, like hgh.

@denti FWIW my last 2 orders from Genpeptide were 99% via Chromate. Not sure if they still have that purity on their site though.

@uxu if you look at all the blips there are impurities they are filtering and just assigning the purity to the main peak. I am no expert I sent this to someone who is. I am paraphrasing what was told to me. Many labs do this because they have no reference standards. They are expensive to purchase. He also said he doubts that large peak is histidine because of the smaller peaks next to do it and the dips

Yuansense Techs last two batches July and August were Jano tested at 98.2% approx. Their previous batches from April were at 99.7% Janoshik tested.

Yes nearly ALL vendors are selling 99%+ when its tested with any lab that is not Janoshik. We are now coming to realize that all of these labs are giving us inaccurate purity on Tesa testing. Seems like the only ones providing accurate purity testing now specifically for Tesa is Janoshik. My guess is if you take your vial that was tested by Chromate at 99% and sent it to Janoshik it will come back less than 99%. Almost a certain at this point. Probably in the 97% range.

So basically Janoshik now has the most accurate/best reference material or whatever you want to call it and everyone else is still using less than and that's why they all put up 99%+ numbers.

@denti Looks that way. The Janoshik Tesa samples prior to this Summer were all over 99% same as all the other labs. Appears that Jano was the first lab to get (or order) up to date Tesa reference standards.

Now I think Yuansense Techs’ Tesa at 98.2% looks pretty darn good compared to the majority of other recent purity samples I’ve seen from Janoshik.
I do have an order from their 2026/7 batch on the way….
