33g needle vs 32g needle
-
I had previously ordered 33 gauge needles for my pen. I ended up giving a good chunk of them away to a family member and ordered myself a new box. I hit re-order and didn’t really pay much attention. Apparently, they were sold out of the 33 gauge so they suggested a different item. They were 32 gauge. I only noticed the difference because the box was a different color, same brand
I’ve been think there would be too much of a difference between them, but I swear it hurt more this morning when I used the 32 gauge. Is it in my head or do other people really notice the difference in that

Not sure it makes a big difference. I ended up using 31 x 4mm. But I am getting a lot of brushing, but if I remember correctly, I was getting bruising with the 32 also.
Is there a big difference between the 31, 32 and 33 for bruising or anything else, I would love to hear everyone’s input. -
I haven’t noticed MOTS-C stinging at all. I prefer 32g/4mm but will use different ones if I can’t source what I want. I haven’t noticed a difference between 31 and 32ga but you might be more sensitive. I no longer like anything longer than 6mm.
Rule of thumb I learned from my bride(this is a diabetic trick): Poke the area and if it hurts, poke somewhere else. Alternative is to tap twice then push. I tend to push the needle in slowly, which probably doesn’t make anything better.
I will say that since moving to pens, I hit capillaries much less often and don’t get bruises as much.
