I primed and used bac water. I pushed the plunger to the point of a couple of drops of water was coming out. Maybe the vial, but it dispensed perfectly on the V2. Since it is non-returnable, l'm stuck with the V4.
@ResearchCat I always hated the thought of needles in my body until this year, now I'm just like you...I watch closely as the needle breaks the skin...I'm almost fascinated by it.

@cc4part41 What we really need is some kind of micro ekg skin nerve detector or pins laced with Lidocaine.
Now you're talking. Stick and pray isnt working great.
The v2's will be restocked in a few days by our warehouse. I opted for those because they are the same ones used for....you know. The margins on these are slim (no pun intended) but i made sure we have at least 1 style.
You probably hit a blood vessel and there was slight vacuum in the vial (assuming you keep it in the fridge) so before you hit the plunger, it drew some blood into the vial. I have had this happen with syringes but not vials(yet.)
Part of the reason i use short needles (4-6mm) is that with syringes or longer needles 8mm+ i hit vessels and get a lot of bruising. Still happens but much less often.
