Beginner Question on Pens
-
Real newb here. Trying to get into using pens over syringes. I’ve purchased two from here and one from Amazon for a comparison but while trying to replicate the test I’ve seen here, each one is 2 units short. I’m sure it’s something I am doing since all three are doing the same. Testing using the same type of syringe as the video and for 10 units it works exactly but moving to 20 or 25 it is consistently short by 2. Any suggestions?

I have checked a few of my pens - nothing really formal. They’re always within 1 unit.
One pet peeve I have with the Gansulins, and I don’t know if this is intended, random, or what, but of the three I have, one ticks, and the other two pop. I really prefer the tick, as the ones that pop seem to ‘leak’ more before and after injecting, and the one that ticks runs fast but smooth.
IF you have no idea what the hell I am talking about, that’s okay.
Also, my V2’s are by far the smoothest running manual pens I own, and yes I own multiple Xulins. They all work fine.

@bing72 you might try priming the syringe with bac water if you haven’t. This should reduce any resistance. I find most of my syringes have some resistance when I get ready to use them so I usually pump them a time or two before loading.

I did try priming the syringe but with the exception of using regular water and not Bac water when I am doing these tests. Just sacrificing a cartridge and syringe. I do agree with the V2 being smooth running. I will keep looking at this and will reach out to randy if I just can’t get it figured out. I do appreciate all the responses/info.
