    For the life of me I could not figure out how to take these pens apart. Started thinking I am just loosing my touch because I can pretty much do any of these “fine” type tear-downs. Did motocross suspension for years, built my own race motors, to include porting and polishing my own heads. Build and service my own firearms, etc… Needless to say I have three 54” tool boxes full of tools.
    I could not get this pen apart. So I cut it apart. I feel much better now. These pens cannot be disassembled ones they are put together. They have spots that are it is plastic welded together. So it is a one way assembly.
    Here is the Convipen apart. Tomorrow I cut the Gansulin pen apart so we can compare them.

      Part 2:
      Here is the Gansulin pen cut apart next to the Convipen cut apart. You can clearly see this is the exact same pen. This was defiantly made in the same factory. The plastic weld and markings are all exactly the same. So the rumors about one being made in Chin and the other one somewhere else - False. When i contacted Servopen to inquire about getting a black pen, they told me they do not sell to the public, they just make pens for other people.
      So it is Servopen making all these pens for people, in the same factory. Bottomline, buy whatever one you like the color of better because they are the same pen.

        As far as autopens are concerned, It is my opinion that the Convipen / Gansulin pen are better than the Gensupen2. I bought about 9 Convipens, 5 Gansulin pens and 6 Gensupen2 (3 of each color). The Gensupen2 is made of plastic, the Convipen / Gansulin pen are made of metel. The Gensupen2 didn’t always work (only about 50% of the time).

        As far as manual pens are concerned. I bought v1, v4 Xulin Pen 3 and the Nova Pen 4 with the NP-Max adapter from Daro Pep Accessories. The Nova Pen 4 with the NP-Max adapter is by far my favorite. I actually like it better than the autopen. It is thin and solid feeling, it just feels like quality. The v1, v4 and Xulin Pen 3 all feel the same to me.

        Maybe in the future I will cut the manual pens apart so we can see what is different inside of them. The v1 and the Xulin Pen 3 feel exactly the same to me. I would love to see if the insides are actually different. I don’t trust overseas factories to actually be giving us what they say they are. As we say - Inspect What You Expect…..

          When you say doesn't always work, do you mean incorrect dosage or pen malfunction?

            @meerkatinator
            I mean doesn’t move at all. I believe that the Gensupen2 is very picky when it comes to what 3ml cartridges you use. I had some work in it, some not. All so far have worked in my Convipen/Gsnsulin pen.

              @commander Where do you get the 4mm 32g Gluco-care from? Only place I found it was on a site that doesn't ship anything unless you spend $200.

                So I actually ordered the 33 x 4mm on Amazon, but they shipped 32 x 4mm.

                    Thanks for posting this. Cool info.

                    Wrt pen needles, I’d be happy to get either. Almost all of the flat head needles are out of stock or not shipping to my state. And prices have increased 2x-3x in the past couple months, at least for me. And I can’t find any syringes that will ship.

                    Every day that I wake up is further evidence of my immortality.
