Pen needles being removed from Amazon
-
I noticed glucocare pen needles drying up a couple of weeks ago on Amazon and now they're not just out of stock. They're just no longer available in order history.
They still have the Novofine stuff and they actually have a lot of it via prime which is great but those cost 3x what gluco care does.
It's going to get a little less convenient, but luckily these products aren't like bacwater.

I have 5 boxes on order to be delivered next week. Hopefully they ship.
I don’t know what the deal is with them (Glucocare.) They only sell through affiliates (printed on the box) and it seems like they do small runs or just sell through fast. But yeah, it is a pain in the ass since the links keep changing, stuff sells out, and here we are hoarding again.
For me, syringes are even worse because a lot of vendors won’t ship to my state due to restrictions on ‘diabetes equipment’. I should just go get free needles downtown.
-
Geez, why are they out of stock?
-
I have Novafine coming today. I have 2 boxes of Glucacare that I was sending back, because they are 4mm instead of 6mm. Maybe I should keep them, in case of emergency.
-
I just stocked on 31g yesterday interestingly enough. I was thinking I have enough peptides and bac water for the next 3 years now, but only about 100 syringes laying around.
I know they'd probably be much easier to procure if they really clamp down on everything, but I figured why even wait and chance it. Expiration date on my recent box says almost 5 years from now, so I pulled the trigger on an extra 3 year supply.

Keep an eye on facebook marketplace. I just paid a total of $40 for five boxes of Novofine and three boxes of BD Ultra Fine.

Hi, where can I find a beginner-friendly reusable pen that comes with cartridges and needles—like a starter kit?

Do you find the 6mm better? I never got into the world of pens yet. Was recently giving them a look and possibly trying them out.

I don’t know, because I haven’t used them yet!
. I’m taking the word of several people on here. I did find the 5MM better than the 4mm. I have a full box of the 5mm and now the 6mm that just came in today! -
@chuxpeps I absolutely love the flat tips. The ones with the nubs are kinda dumb and pointless. Just push the tip against your rat’s skin and press the button.
I know the regular ones are not a huge deal but to me it simplifies the whole thing just enough. “Is it all the way in?” Yup. Do I have to worry about holding it in place? Not really.
-
What exactly are flat tips?
-
As for 4mm vs 6mm, I don’t think it makes a huge difference, but I find I prefer the 4mm, the depth is fine and I get fewer bruises and hit capillaries. It’s a very small difference.
I do find it interesting that I really don’t like the 31g 5mm, but the 32g 4/6 are great.

In all honesty if the 4mm did work for you without any major hiccups, given everything going on I would absolutely keep them just in case. I think most of these ancillaries have a 5 year shelf life.
