I'm new here. I mostly lurk and learn. I am a 6 ft 53 year old male. In 2019 I topped out at 400 pounds. I started keto Nov 2019. I dabbled in all kinds of things from then until around Oct 2025 including fasting, carnivore, cold plunge, sauna, IV therapy, etc. I kept bouncing between 230-280 pounds. I couldn't break 230 and during the nice summers I'd gain weight while out enjoying life too much. In October I started Reta. Since then I have also added MOTS-C, Epitalon, GHK-Cu, Tes/Ipa, and Melanotan 1. There are still so many more I want to try. I am now down to 210 pounds, quite a bit of loose skin and considerably more muscle than I have ever had. I workout 4-5 days a week doing resistance, HIIT, cardio. I stopped the fasting since it didn't work well with muscle sparing/gaining. I still frequent the cold plunge and sauna a couple times a week for a couple hours going back and forth. My diet is clean and I prioritize protein.

Thank you for this forum and all of the information you all share!

Welcome! You’ve been on quite a journey and doing well!

I’m curious about the cold plunge and sauna! I’ve never heard of this. What are the benefits? Sounds like inflammation reduction may be one of them

@WisGal64 Yes, inflammation is one of the targets for my cold plunge and sauna sessions. It helps me with my sleep and circulation as well. I feel so good after a 2 hour session. It is a great stress reducer and mood booster.
