Reconstitution using COA mg mass information?
-
From reading the blog post https://peptidecritic.com/blog/why-test-results-vary-between-labs-multi-lab-coa-comparison, I started to wonder about how much it might matter which mg number is used for the reconstitution calculations.
Given the variation between COAs as well as variation between individual vials from the same assumed origin batch, how should that mg mass report be used for reconstitution?
The variations go from 0.17 mg to 2.8 mg over a baseline expected 10.0 mg.
If reconstituted as expected for 10 mg, the additional dose per expected mg would be anywhere from 0.017 mg to 0.28 mg over?
Is that even statistically or bioactively significant?
In other words, should we be reconstituting for the expected mass of mg or at the COA reported mass of mg?
Overfill for higher mg mass would be smaller additional dosages, so would it really matter at all? Thanks for your thoughts!

I usually average the COA test results, or if only one then I use that. Most of the stuff I get is 10-20% overfilled. The way I see it, for most peptides, if I take a little more or a littler less, it (probably) isn’t a big deal. But if I take too much of a GLP-1, I might make myself or my wife sick.
I always recommend starting slow and working your way up if you are new to a peptide or aren’t comfortable with the dose accuracy.

My rat is at 8mg reta so I'd rather not get a 2mg overage by not accounting for the COA mass. Probably going to drop back to 6 then 4 mg since 60 lbs down over 8 months to a maintenence dose.
Other rats starting so I'm trying to dial in a responsible set of reconstitution and dosing metrics. -
I got some Mots 40 that tested at 45. That's the number I'm going with when reconstituting.

@hammertime65 seems reasonable as that's more than a 10% discrepancy on dosage. What's a guy to do in this realm of potential inaccuracy, shooting with kentucky windage, and hoping for the best...haha!

@hunt_ak start low and titrate up.

@ResearchCat I also average the three vial mass measurements.

Ive been keeping sn eye on the discord and telegram groups for third party testing and taking data. So fsr the stuff I've ordered has been lived across those and the tests provided by who I've purchased from.
