Looking for some great conversation and learning from everybody. I have been doing research for about 25 years and really interested in certificates of authenticity, batch and conformity testing.

@Stan-Douglas Most of my research was mostly clinical on subject like prevention of Ventilator associated pneumonia and the efficiency of influenza vaccination. I have been doing research now on COA batch verification and the presence of definable tracing with a unique code assigned to a specific "run" or group of vials produced under the same conditions at the same time. This is your primary tool for traceability. If a researcher reports an issue or a purity test (COA) comes back, the Batch number tells you exactly which production cycle it came from. I have seen many edited COA's and without batching the COA is nothing but a piece of paper.

Welcome! I suspect we'll learn as much from you than the other way around. Your idea is interesting so I'm curious. Is it possible to test batches so completely that a 'signature' can be created- like with nuclear material? Otherwise it seems the unique code would have to be assigned in CN where the API's are made. Seems like that would be risky for folks over there. Oh, and what is your opinion on the efficacy of the annual influenza vaccine? My Sanofi quad last year wasn't particularly helpful! Thanks.
