Just reading between the lines - and knowing the way a lot of people around here start out on Reta I’d bet my left nut on it being user error on these cases not the product itself.
I’ve spoken to numerous people on it that have absolutely no idea about even the basics on sterile (ish
) procedures, dosing etc or even what it actually is - they’ve pretty much been pinning whatever they’re given (in a lot of cases already reconstituted) and hoping for the best.I was probably lucky as a newbie in that our initial supplier was the friendly neighbourhood drug dealer/gym bro who was one of my sons best friends & I’d known for 10 years or so and as such he spent a lot of time teaching us the basics.
Without that i could’ve 100% been one of these knobs in hospital - buying single vials rarely comes with comprehensive instructions and who reads that shit anyway. Was only recently taking to a friend that had had a recent crack at it - sourced by a friend of his wife - he knew absolutely nothing about it not even what it was - bought single vials already reconstituted and all he knew was to suck it up to that line on the needle and smash it in his guts - I’m surprised there isn’t more infection/contamination/overdosing problems than there is.
I hate to sound elitist but stuff like this is why I would recommend most of the general public to stay away from peptides unless they have at least a basic functional scientific/chemical/medical knowledge base and are heavily predisposed to self-directed learning. It is truly the Wild West out there and it takes both books AND street smarts.

I mostly agree with you on that - not that you have to be a doctor/Endo or anything but at least learn as much as you possibly can (and understand it) about something you’re sticking in your guts.
I’m diabetic so had a bit of that behind me regarding injections etc but it took 3 months or so of almost OCD levels of reading/researching Reta almost exclusively after that first conversation with my friendly neighbourhood drug dealer for my brain to weigh up the pros & cons and decide that the benefits far outweighed the risks in taking it as well as the hows, why’s, when’s, how much’s etc before I stuck that first needle in my guts.Despite years of sticking myself multiple times a day I still shat myself a bit doing it.

And I’ve learned a hell of a lot more since then.
In my case it has paid off very well but I still don’t understand people that can do it another way even want to know anything more than how much to stick in their gut. -
I agree that it’s either user error or some crazy coincidence. I live in a small community in southern New Mexico, and the amount of people at my workplace that are “on peptides” has really surprised me. I mean, some of these guys would’ve surprised me if I found out they were on TikTok or Instagram. Let alone finding out they ordered Reta and are using it.

I think Survo is the better choice if the rat is already on Tirz. BTW, I'm USA and not affiliated with pharma. I did work in a lab once but had nothing to do with peptides.
@Eleanor I started Survo last week, 500mcg. Can really feel that Glucagon hit the next morning. But I take it 3 days after my Tirz, which seems like a good schedule.

@mrjoshua44 I'm changing the order I take Survo/Tirz bc of hunger breakthrough. I was taking the Tirz first and should have been taking Survo first. 24/48 hrs later with Tirz will cover the food noise better.
Another good thing I like about Survo is you're not getting the double dose of GIP (Tirz) because the pathway is not present w/Survo as it is with Reta. Makes it easier to back off of it and stay on relatively the same dose of Tirz once Survo has done its job (26wks +).

@mrjoshua44 can you explain what you mean when you say you can feel the glucagon hit the next morning. I'm very interested in your experience.

@Americanchild Sure, what I feel the next morning is how my body feels hot, kinda flush in the face. Heart rate is slightly higher, that is from the glucagon agonist of the Survodutide working. Now I'm sure once my body gets used to it, it won't always be like that. But you can definitely tell that it's working on your liver and metabolism. Hope that helps.

@mrjoshua44 thanks for the info. I have been having hot flashes with it but did not know the mechanism of action.
