I adjust my dose as I think appropriate. I am currently taking 6mg/week and am losing weight(desired) but will likely lower my dose as I approach my absolute bottom. I don’t necessarily plan to stop taking Tirz completely, but I have read a fair amount about ‘micro-dosing’ whether that means taking 2.5mg a week or less, or only taking a shot every couple of weeks, or some alternative.

I am thinking that Tirz or a successor(NA-931?) will be on the menu forever in some manner unless there is a strong indicator to the contrary. The health benefits seem too undeniable to not continue taking it at some level, and since I am going to be taking statins and other meds forever, I might as well do the best I can.

FWIW, I do not like taking any meds at all, but I have come around to the thinking that if it keeps me healthy, capable, and alive, and I can afford it, I might as well. I’d rather spend a small fortune staying healthy now, than a large fortune staying alive in a bed 30 years from now.

@ResearchCat I pretty much feel the same way, except for the living for 30 more years; I don't want to be 100 and P&P all over myself. Then, there's the deep political and financial shit that everyone intuitively knows is coming shortly; wading through that at an older age is not a good thing, esp. when family and friends have all gone before you.

It could be that 2.5 Tirz might not be sufficient for me, IDK, but surely not more than 5 (on 5.5 now) and it could be a different pep or stem cells available by then. Who knows.

Will have to study up on NA-931.

Proud to be on a gubmint watch list

Seems to be a necessity for modern beasts. My girlfriend's big brown beaver gets the stink-eye from other semi-aquatic rodents when needle sports are mentioned. The stupid thing is that they are getting wrinkly, bent over, and hobbling around more and more each day. And the beaver feels like 20 years old. All you need is one visit to the vet's office for a checkup and see how bad the customers look and how poorly they experience life.
No doubt that this is a modern necessity to live an enjoyable life. So, probably reduce to 1 mg per week of Reta when a target weight is achieved.

To me it isn't necessarily about the quantity of life. We all have an expiration date and it could be in a car wreck later today for me. I am after the quality of life while I am still around. If I get some quality longevity too, I'll take it.

I’ve passed my original goal weight using Reta now but have reset it slightly lower for a few reasons.
Once I’m a kilo or so off it (which might take a couple weeks or a month or so - don’t really care now) I’m going to trial & error what needs to be done to drop down to the minimum dosing to keep the other benefits of Reta without necessarily keeping the weight dropping.

I’m thinking the best way is to do it progressively in a similar way but in reverse to the standard 4 weeks on a dose before dropping again while monitoring everything I possibly can.

I’m hoping i can get away with something around the 1-2mg mark but who knows - it might be zero or 4 - whatever it is it is.
Either way even if I need to stay on it for what’s left of my life - pfffftttt - still better than living the way I was - by a fucking mile.

One thing with Reta for me is that it has not stopped my appetite one iota - I can basically eat as much as I want when I want - especially with regards to the physical side of it - it has however lowered the “food noise”🙄 with regards to the snacking etc.
I’m guessing it has something to do with being a diabetic 🤷‍♂️- as it didn’t even work at all for me until I hit 6mg as well as binning all my other prescription drugs I was on including insulin at the same time - that’s my theory anyway 🤣.

I've heard of very few who have not regained their weight, sometimes more, once they stop Semi/Tirz/Reta. There are some that claim to not have regained the weight, or a large portion of it but no proof to back it up that I know of. It's possible; I just don't know any of them.

Most of us here at least have the notion that we're probably going to be taking weight loss peptides for the rest of our lives, with the only other choice being micro-dosing, instead of higher doses.

The 'therapeutic dose' of Tirz is 5mg, therefore, IMO, anything under that is micro-dosing. I know lots of experts are saying 2.5 or less are the levels, but that doesn't make sense to me. Whatever.

I'm at 6 Tirz/1 Survo right now and after a month-long stall after dropping 30#'s, my weight is starting to drop again due to the Survo, albeit slowly. Think it's going to be this way for the next 20 lbs that I need to lose, unless I really exercise hard (Not likely)

Anyone else considering micro-dose? Doesn't mean you have to give up the other peps, just the ones for weight loss.

@Eleanor micro dosing? I didnt know pc partied like that. Haha. But seriously to answer the question yes. Probably get down to 2mg and run a kit of 20s as long as long as they last.

That is it working on your your appetite. It is a scalpel not a sledge hammer like Tirzepitide. It brings down the food noise and allows you to stay consistent on calorie goals without under eating and causing unhealthy weight loss. In the beginning that difference for me was hard to grasp after being on Tirz.

Without it I was a dying fat man who couldn't control his eating and with it I still feel like a fat man who cant control his eating but one who has lost 180 pounds. It absolutely controls my appetite. Just doesn't crush it.
