Injectable (sterile) sodium bicarbonate 8.4% is a prescription/pharmaceutical-grade product (e.g., Hospira/Pfizer, Fresenius, etc.), typically indicated for treating metabolic acidosis. It's not something commonly sold over-the-counter or without restrictions for research/DIY use due to its potency, hypertonicity, and need for precise handling.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I came to as well. I've actually got access to some quality lab gear for reading pH through work but if it's more trouble than it's worth, oh well. So goes the wild wild west. I'll do a test pin of a few units and load it into a nasal spray if it's too spicy. Thanks for weighing in on my dumb noob idea, I'm smart but not THAT smart...

@SwollStreetBets If it's that spicy, just do it IM.

@swollstreetbets Don't mess with that bicarb BS if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing!
S1research.net Has 1000mg NAD+ BUFFERED for $55 single vial, and less for kits.
If I had to give up all peps except one, NAD+ BUF if the one I'd keep. It has saved me, it really has.

Oh, what a difference. I used the Sodabcot from D&U and the NAD+ is hugely more effective. I think I wasted all previous vials of NAD+, to be honest. It is similar to this one: https://www.scotmedcare.com/product/sodium-bicarbonate-injection-ip-7-5-w-v-sodabcot-25ml-injection/ . No tests on this one. But it seems that it comes from the Indian pharma industry (just to note it probably does not meet the standards here). I agree it would be much easier to purchase the buffered powder.
@eleanor what dosage do you use? I am thinking 25mg twice a day.

@kenhnsy I liked the some of the Indian pharmas but as you said, it doesn't meet approval here so I just ... don't, (or labs either).

I take 40mg buff once daily. If I SQ other than early morning, it disrupts my sleep. I started in Feb. with 25mg/3X wk. Been between 30 & 40 for many months now.

I would not waste my $$$$$ on non-buffed, with all the work you have to put into it to make it less painful; I just don't want to deal with it.

I could stand to get some… I have 300 vials of non buffered NAD 1000mg 🥲

I did not do it for pain relief. I solved that with 8mm needles into butt cheeks.
I wanted to test efficacy and I now have felt a huge energy surge in the last two days (while now cycling off most peptides). pH makes a huge difference. Maybe someone could comment on whether low pH breaks down the NAD+, or if it is an absorption thing. If pH breaks it down, then I will mix the Bac water (Hospira) with the sodium bicarbonate buffer prior to reconstitution.
"I" meaning "my girlfriend's big brown beaver", of course, allegedly.

@kenhnsy I am no expert, but I think it's more stable at low PH.

I think you are right, and that is why some vendors still do it like that
