Low Dose Tadalafil
-
Is anybody taking low dose tadalafil? It is not a peptide, but it recently came to my attention for its off-label use for cardiovascular health, muscle building improvements, exercise capacity, and prostate health. It looks like many online T providers pair it with enclomiphene. Limited side effects, however you should not take it if you use nitroglycerine for your heart as together they might kill you.
A common protocol is 2.5mg or 5mg per day.
I am looking into it, asking my cardiologist about risk factors and concerns, and thinking I might give it a try with or without enclomiphene depending on my upcoming lab results.
This originally came to my attention via Huberman on the Modern Wisdom podcast, where he was recommending it to most healthy men over 40 for its protective and exercise benefit, noting the benefits of a healthier(smaller) prostate and being able to brick up instantly as nice to haves.

Ya. Big surprise I know since I'm one of the enclomiphene bros! I take 5mg nightly for all the reasons you listed in your first paragraph. I personally will not prescribe it to patients if nitro is anywhere on there med list (present or past)or if they already have a cardiologist. I also add Telmisartan 40mg daily- spend some time researching that one too.

I just started this for almost a week now, 2.5 mg. I read somewhere on this forum that enclomiphene is almost always regular clomid being passed off as enclomiphene, so I've not started that one yet.
-
@manicXmedic I would be going through Hims or similar, so hopefully they would actually be supplying enclomiphene.
@Stones67, thanks, will check it out. I have a cardiologist and some risk factors (Lpa, Cholesterol, family history) but have not had any events or symptoms, either due to good lifestyle choices, dumb luck, or both. I only started seeing the cardiologist a few months ago after my labs showed stupid high Lpa.

@ManicXmedic
Yes there are some concerns so you need to be comfortable before you start. See the 'enclomiphene' thread where I have chimed in and am happy to share what I know. Don't want to jack RC's topic which is an excellent point of discussion. -

I'd be interested to here what they tell you! Please share when you get an answer. -
Will do. Probably a month of so away. Not in a huge hurry. Want to see my latest T levels, what the Cardiologist says, then I’ll decide what to do.
I figured that some of you folks are probably also obsessive optimizers and might have experience with this. I am waiting for Pete to chime in and tell me i need to crush precisely 1.7 mg and snort it through my right nostril only for maximum effect.

LOL. He would too if he thought it would give him a 0.015% improvement in effect! You're doing it the right way. -

@ResearchCat I'm on 5mg daily dose. Been on it for years. I take it for prostate and cardiovascular health. I haven't had any issues with it other than an occasional flushing and a stuffy nose, but it's not anything major. I'm not taking enclomiphene.
Was there something specific that you were curious about?

I started 2.5mg about a month ago and then increased to 5mg.
One thing to note: Do NOT take a pre-workout that has L-citrulline or nitrates in it. It can cause your blood pressure to drop too much, which can be very dangerous.
I like my pre-workout and I had to totally stop taking it b/c it contained L-citrulline. The first time I took a 2.5mg and then used my pre-workout, I felt a blood pressure drop while doing squats. No bueno.
I drink a Celcius now for the caffeine.
Effects:
I have nice vascularity in my forearms and biceps and get a good pump at the gym. I feel like my blood pressure in a really good state and the always on dose is good for the intended benefits.
I have blood labs tomorrow, so I'll look for other positive endothelial signs.

@judgetoo I was just curious if folks are using it, whether it is working for the intended goals, any issues or side effects, etc. Since many of you are researching similar protocols to mine and seeking similar goals(Immortality + Glory), you might have insights into things that could help and things to avoid.

It is easy to get a prescription for tadalafil from any general practitioner, just hint at ED
nobody will be doing tests to check your complain. It's a very cheap generic drug.
It is researched for general longevity (there is an association in the large database in British research), lowering pressure, also increasing NO levels in blood indirectly - behaving as upregulator of eNOS expression.
But there are possible side effects like blurred vision, stuffed nose, etc. Ah, and of course night erections like in a teenager. -
just saw some on grey 50mg, holy cow!
-
That must be the hookers and blow package.

I have been using 5mg per day for about 6 months now and I like it a lot.
Increased blood flow and pumps when working out. The plumping of the nether regions calms down significantly after the first week or so. I generally do not like to take medications like this, but this one has been good with no side effects.
