I have tried a bunch of CAD software and can’t even make a simple bin with any of it. Hell I could even do a simple draw 2 boxes, one smaller than the other and align them in TinkerCAD…
There must be an easy CAD software. I even tried to use ChatGPT to generate. .stl files - because when I asked it if it could, it said yes. Hours into it, it finally told me it couldn’t actually do it…

@Commander I have tried them all Sharpr3d is the easiest to use. I have been doing some other stuff on fusion360. My wife is cracking up I have 3d stuff everywhere. Two machines essentially run non stop.

@Commander It was a hundred years ago (at least it feels that way) that I did a bunch of CAD work in college, so a lot of it came back when I was messing around with different software

This may help; you can customize these to meet your needs. Just click the customize link and change the dimensions.

@commander Have you tried Sketchup? There is a free version that works through your browser, so not install needed. For me, its the easiest to learn.

Is that CAD software? You can’t really tell by their website. It just looks like a big promotional push of I don’t know what..

I can’t really figure out how to change anything in an stl or even a 3mf. That is the problem. I have a ton of files I want to modify, just can’t figure it iut.

@Commander yes sir. It’s what I use to model 3d then export to stl for printing.
