Funny you mention gaming - I’m not really a gamer but have played a shitty phone game I started playing with my kids 10+ years ago - haven’t played it for 6 months now.
Other one is Coke - rarely touch it now - it’s been replaced by electrolytes 🤣 not because I have to - I actually prefer it now.

Still punch darts 🚬 as hard as ever though.

@STATIEEIGHT 😂 That’s another interesting one. It’s not just resisting Coke—you actually prefer the replacement now. Between this and the gaming/alcohol comments, the reduction in “vice noise” might be one of the more interesting patterns coming out of this thread.

Still punching darts though 😂 can’t win ’em all. I know my lady quit smoking on tirz which led me to quiting a couple weeks later. Tried cold turkey like her horrible idea I had to wien to win. I feel you gotta take it in steps if your down to that predominant addiction and off others thats a win. I moved ❄️ for a bit ill tell you daily use does nothing good been using cartalax to heal the nose. Quit before glp just got so sick of not being able to breath and sleep proper. Won't ever touch it again thats how sick I am of it 🤣

@STATIEEIGHT Yeah, I’m replying twice. I was watching Dumpster Fire with Bridgett Phetasy the other night and she was reminding us of COVID times when they were trying to sell the world on the idea that (I don’t want to be mean) 400 lbs in a thong was hot. Almost all of those ‘models’ are size 12 or smaller now. But at least now we have Sydney Sweeney, though as the happiest of married men, I don’t see the appeal. 😉 I do like the car.

We have lived/are living through some truly stupid times.

@ResearchCat I know exactly what you mean 😂 It’s wild how fast that whole narrative shifted. Once GLP-1s made weight loss realistically achievable for a lot more people, suddenly plenty of people who had embraced being bigger chose to lose the weight. Funny how quickly times change when the tools change.

And the Sydney Sweeney comment 🤣🤣 “happiest of married men, don’t see the appeal… but I do like the car.” That was some elite-level plausible deniability right there 😂

Dude, even then the whole Jean's commercial debacle. Everyone is a bit to serious, especially when most play follow the leader.

The biggest change for me has been the amount of women, even married women, who have come on to me. Never in my life have I experienced that before. I am a single 40 something year old so I am available and now comfortable putting myself out there and for the past year or so have been enjoying meeting and dating several women. It feels nice to be wanted and desired by the opposite sex, but it has also come with the realization that I am especially attracted to toxic women and relationships which hasn’t been good for me either.

@STATIEEIGHT Divorce rates too. and the Booze economy is tanking. Overall, this should be an absolute win for humanity. But it will definitely be disruptive. And the gatekeepers and statists are not going to go quietly into the night.

@denti It’s been said, and I believe it, that for men in particular, being fit in your 40’s, and especially 50’s and beyond, is the biggest flex/status symbol today. Even with GLP-1’s, getting fit requires work.

Physical fitness is one of the best indicators of whether someone puts effort into their life. If you can reliably show up to the gym and manage your diet, it’s safe to assume that you’ll have the rest of your life in order, too.

@ResearchCat I tend to agree with that about being the biggest flex. I think that's what all these women I've been meeting and attracting have been attracted to. When I am out and about and look at other men my age, all I see is how unfit they are, are unkempt and put no effort in how they look, so I think I standout because I do in comparison to them. Then when we get to know each other better in these settings, they are surprised that I don't have the "baggage" of not being previously married or kids. But like I said above, I've also attracted my share of toxic women who I am drawn to and created a lot of chaos in my life.

And regarding married women. It's flattering and tempting and all, but I won't go there. I behave. I don't want to be on the other side of that situation one day in the future if I do get married.

@denti That’s some strong self-reflection. For me, eating became an emotional cover-up, which eventually contributed to being overweight. Before the weight loss, I swear anyone I managed to pull had to be based on personality alone 🤣

What I’m noticing now isn’t just more confidence in how I look, though. I’m becoming much more confident about setting boundaries around how I allow people to treat me. I’m still doing some self-analyzing to figure out exactly why that shift has happened, but it’s definitely been one of the unexpected changes.

What has changed for you since starting Reta or Tirz?

Not just weight loss either — what other benefits have you actually noticed?

                          For me with Reta:
                          • Snoring WAY less
                          • Sleeping better
                          • Weight loss, obviously
                          • Noticeably less joint pain

The joint pain one has me curious. Obviously carrying less weight can make a huge difference, but I wonder how much is from the weight loss vs. Reta itself.

I can’t see into the future, but with some of the additional benefits we’ve seen associated with Tirz, I’m interested to see what the long-term research on Reta ends up showing.

What changes have you noticed — expected or completely unexpected?

@mary 😂 That meme is absolutely perfect! “We’re going to need pens… lots of pens” might be one of the most accurate representations of discovering the peptide world I’ve seen yet. 🤣

And when your “Peptides” folder starts rivaling your “Health” folder, I think it’s safe to say there’s no turning back.

Official peptide nerd AND feeling healthier.

                            I’d definitely call that a win! 😄

Yeah, but the amount we spend is nothing compared to how much U.S. health care costs.
I am spending less than decent insurance would cost me, which I don't use because I go out of country for any traditional stuff.

@mary there is a common saying in podcast circles that you behave like the 5 people you spend the most time with.

So, 1) Surround yourself with people who make you better, or closer to who you want to be, and 2) Be a person who raises the quality of your friend group.

Yeah, well, I’m just here for the research, man. - The Dude

Started reta june 28th, Was 295 lbs, currently down to 255, I've stopped drinking almost entirely, I also no longer binge eat, antidepressants have been stepped down significantly in dosage, though I partially believe that this is also due to me using selank and dsip Nasal before bed. Also ADHD medications have been almost stopped entirely as well. End goal is somewhere around 180/190lbs. Currently at 6mg and I've bought bulk so I should be good for the next year when it comes to reta.

also should add that I've had alot more confidence and overall just taking care of my appearance way more, wearing nicer clothes and trying to present myself better. Have significantly less down days and times where one small thing makes me feel bad all week
