Beyond the Scale: What Has Reta or Tirz Changed for You?
-
Tirz introduced me to Rita. Quest to possess Rita, opened the wonderful world of peptides that I was completely unaware of, and I met BPC, TB, KPV, Tesa, Survo, Cagri which all caused some dip in my bank balance but I'm sure that was covered by the lowered grocery, restaurant, and dessert bills.
@pep_researcher
I can relate to this one. My wife started on tirz which eventually led us to Reta that was definitely my gateway into the peptide rabbit hole too. One minute you’re researching weight loss, next thing you know you’ve got a fridge full of “research” and a browser history that needs explaining. At least we’re saving on groceries
right that is true

- I don't use my belt buckle to cover my unbutton pants.
- My eating habbits are more refined where every bite counts in quality over quantity.
- Considering grocery prices. You save because you eat less.
- You will start to detox
- Season allergies gone.
- Good health snowballs
@martinmarin
#1 alone is a win. But “healthy snowballs” is probably the biggest one. one positive change starts feeding into another. Eating less, caring more about what you do eat, feeling better, moving more… it really does start to compound. -
@Mr-Smurf

“Somewhat visible” is still a hell of an upgrade! We’ll take the win. Funny how losing weight can change not only how you feel, but how the world seems to interact with you too. Im a loud person so its hard to miss me. Must be the italian in the blood hands and raised voices with a whole lot of joking, makes me hard to miss

@Juliano546 oh absolutely. The world treats you way different even though its fundamentally the same person in the skin sack. Im not mad at it. Its biology to the core the fittest and finest are ones most likely to breed. This all happened so fast i havent even processed what to do with it yet lol

@Juliano546 Yup, not to mention, the money saved on future lifelong prescription meds — statins, insulin, BP meds, the usual American healthcare cocktail.

Was just telling someone the other day, I don't change, the vision I see outward is the same, however what people see is different, they look, treat you different. Its crazy concept. Reta for 3mo now, down 37lb. I think the biggest change I've experienced outside the weight loss, is the mental change of making decisions. It is way easier to pull the trigger on something I would have thought about for a lot longer. Which in itself changes life. Bank account feels the easy decisions, not only with peptides but other things too. Wonderful time to experience these things! Thanks for the info this community provides!

@damic Yeah and without going in RUO details, I've been open about GLP benefits and changes to my diet to the extent of refusing dinner invites if the hosts mock my choices and force me to eat their crap.
I've noticed that some people are genuinely curious and admire, others struggling themselves but who don't want to change, parrot misinformation to cause fear and discouragement... not that I care anyway. I just laugh in my mind thinking "You have NO IDEA what you are missing!"

watching this thread with interest since the appetite side of things is what people talk about least. the routine stuff that helped me early on was tracking protein intake and sleep alongside everything else, otherwise it's hard to tell what's actually doing what. curious whether others keep a simple log or just go by feel

Tirzepatide helps me keep the vice noise quiet, in addition to the food noise.
I cut down from having a drink daily to MAYBE one drink every other weekend.
I stopped a vicious Elden Ring addiction

Now I can focus on work, social life, and my training with full intent.

@atlas01 Nice work on the game. I also finally dropped a game I was spending way too much time and money on. Between the food, the booze, and the gaming, even if i spend $3k/month on peptides, I am coming out way ahead.
(Though credit where it is due, there was a lot of prayer involved as well.)
-
Funny you mention gaming - I’m not really a gamer but have played a shitty phone game I started playing with my kids 10+ years ago - haven’t played it for 6 months now.
Other one is Coke - rarely touch it now - it’s been replaced by electrolytes
not because I have to - I actually prefer it now.Still punch darts
as hard as ever though. -

@STATIEEIGHT Divorce rates too. and the Booze economy is tanking. Overall, this should be an absolute win for humanity. But it will definitely be disruptive. And the gatekeepers and statists are not going to go quietly into the night.

@STATIEEIGHT Yeah, I’m replying twice. I was watching Dumpster Fire with Bridgett Phetasy the other night and she was reminding us of COVID times when they were trying to sell the world on the idea that (I don’t want to be mean) 400 lbs in a thong was hot. Almost all of those ‘models’ are size 12 or smaller now. But at least now we have Sydney Sweeney, though as the happiest of married men, I don’t see the appeal.
I do like the car.We have lived/are living through some truly stupid times.

@Mr-Smurf I get what you mean. I think the part that would mess with me is realizing how much differently people treat you while knowing you’re fundamentally the same person underneath.
Going from invisible to visible that quickly has gotta be a mind play. Me too 37 down from 262 in 3 months.. wierd -

@pep_researcher Absolutely.
The upfront cost starts looking a lot different when you consider the potential long-term health benefits. Obviously none of us can guarantee which medications we’ll avoid down the road, but improving weight and metabolic health now certainly seems like a pretty damn good investment in the future. -

@pep_researcher Peps and ChatGPT are pretty much all I talk about nowadays
Getting older but somehow feeling newer.I also get a kick out of the “but is it FDA approved?” crowd. I’m not against FDA approval by any means, but I also don’t treat it as the sole measure of whether something is worth researching. Plenty of things we’ve been exposed to through our food supply were permitted for decades before concerns or regulations changed. I’d rather read the research, understand the risks, and make informed decisions than blindly assume approved = harmless and unapproved = dangerous.

I’m more of a “go by feel” person, but the deeper I get into this the more I realize a simple log would probably be useful
. Especially when you start adding multiple peptides, supplements, diet changes, etc. Otherwise when something improves you’re sitting there wondering which of the 6 things you changed deserves the credit. Tracking sleep and protein alongside everything else is a solid idea. -

@atlas01 Now THIS is exactly the kind of unexpected benefit I was hoping people would share. The “vice noise” being turned down along with food noise is fascinating. Going from a daily drink to every other weekend is a hell of a change too.
RIP Elden Ring though

that one might be an adverse effect.
