I’ve been looking into vendor-made nasal sprays and wanted to get some feedback from people who have actually bought and used them.

Has anyone found vendors that check a few of these boxes?

    • Full ingredient/formulation list: This is the biggest thing I’m looking for, and I haven’t really found it yet. COAs cover the usual peptide testing, but I also want to know what’s actually in the liquid, how much bac, saline, preservatives, etc.

This matters to me because I use neuropeptides more “as needed,” so a bottle can last me a while. With my DIY sprays I toss them at 30 days because I don't use much bac and it is starting to feel wasteful.

I asked Crush about shelf life and they told me their sprays don’t need refrigeration and are good for 6 months. That makes me think they’re probably using some kind of preservative that I wouldn’t normally use in a DIY spray, which is exactly the kind of thing I’d like disclosed, but also makes vendor made sprays kind of appealing to me, 6 months is nice IF it's true.

The product page for Mile High sprays also say no refrigeration is necessary.

It would also would be optimal if the spray:

    • Clearly stated dose per spray / metered dose

    • Reasonable pricing (Mile High being too much for me personally)

    • COA/testing available

Mostly just curious if anyone has found vendors that are actually transparent about the finished spray, not just the peptide itself.

I'm currently using Crush's Semax and am actually digging it! I plan to test their Selank and Adamax eventually as well.

I honestly want to find out how they do those room temp preservatives to see if I can just make my own. And if the preservatives affect potency compared to bac/saline combos for things like adamax and na-selank.

Ill take a shot at this using Nasonex as an example. I use to get seasonal allergy attacks and was stocked against it for the season. I had bottles of Nasonex at my desk, vehicle and backpacks. Some of these bottle are a year old and still worked. So let's dive in on what they did to keep it stable.

Nasonex can stay effective at normal room temperature because Its active ingredient, mometasone furoate monohydrate (the engineered steroid).
The medicine is made is chemically stable and doesn’t break down easily. The medicine is made as a carefully designed water-based mixture that keeps the ingredient evenly distributed and protected.

Nasonex can stay effective at normal room temperature because:

In simple terms, Nasonex is specially made so that ordinary indoor temperatures usually don’t damage it or make it stop working.

"What is in the nasanex water-based mixture that keeps the ingredient evenly distributed and protected

Nasonex is not simply a solution—the medicine is a suspension, meaning tiny particles of mometasone are mixed throughout water rather than dissolved in it.

        The water-based mixture generally contains:

Purified water — the liquid base
Microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose sodium — thickening and suspending agents that help keep the medicine particles from quickly settling; this is why you shake the bottle
Glycerin — helps control moisture and the feel of the spray
Polysorbate 80 — helps the ingredients mix evenly
Sodium citrate and citric acid — help maintain the proper acidity, or pH
Benzalkonium chloride — a preservative that helps prevent microbial growth

In plain language: some ingredients make the liquid thick enough to keep the drug floating, some help everything mix together, some keep the acidity stable, and the preservative helps keep the spray from becoming contaminated. The exact ingredients can vary by product or market, so check your bottle’s package insert. The U.S. Nasonex 24HR Allergy label lists these inactive ingredients."

So yes you can add more stability by adding the above for example. Maybe a little more Benzyl alcohol. If instead of just saline, use only BAC. I DIY all my sprayers with reconstituded BAC and the rest I further dilute with Saline, and keep them in the refrigerator.

I am sure vendors here are taking good notes. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Its part of "researching". Stupid is the stupid not willing to ask stupid questions. How else will they learn?

@Mydogdaryl423 Forgot to add that to the original post. When I reached out to Crush, I specifically asked for an official formulation and shelf life, which is why I know about the supposed 6 month shelf life.

As for the formulation, the rep said they would talk to the owners to see if they could have the formulation posted on the website itself. I'm not really hopeful on that part though tbh, especially if it's some proprietary formulation.

I'll reach out to Mile High just for info, but their pricing makes it a no go for me regardless.

I only use 3-4 vendors and most of them don't have sprays, which was a big reason for this post, hoping others have vetted vendors that have listed formulations.

@EXTROPIAN This is awesome! I definitely thought about doing a pure bac spray, but the hippie in me is admittedly a little concerned a pure bac spray could mess up my nasal microbiome...lol

Haven't actually seen anything on this, it just makes logical sense to me personally.

If a peptide injection causes an ISR, does it cause some allergic reaction when used as a spray?

For what it’s worth, I’m currently using NAD+ Nasal, no discomfort whatsoever. Most people that inject it complain about ISRs. I haven’t injected it before so I don’t have a reference on that. I AM curious about GHK-Cu nasal though.

The only thing I’ve heard about BAC nasally is that it can dry your sinus membranes, but it not concentrated enough to be antiseptic. I still use sterile saline, and never had an issue with anything for as long as 60-90 days refrigerated. Although having it not need refrigeration would be sweet.

I’m sure it something easy enough to get, I just haven’t looked into it for nasal compounds. If smell a rabbit hole ahead.

Ghkcu nasal might be a good delivery if you want to target facial. But what are the neurological implications? I do get a light face flush with nasal reta. If ghkcu does the same. Hmmm

Here's what Mile High said to me after I asked them about their formulation:

"Our sprays are formulated with the compound and a 0.9% benzyl alcohol preservative blend specifically to support stability in solution. They are designed and tested to remain stable without refrigeration under normal shipping and storage conditions and do not require refrigeration once received.

We have third-party testing through Vanguard supporting the stability of these products as shipped. If you’d like to verify directly, you’re welcome to contact Vanguard Scientific regarding the testing performed on our spray formulations. We’re happy to provide any batch or product details needed to facilitate that."

So we cannot provide you the details of our ".9% benzyl alcohol preservative blend". But we will provide you enough details for you to jump some hoops to only find it just might be plain BAC. What is in the so called blend?

I followed up with Mile High and asked them to break down the specific preservative blend and received this response:
"The preservative is 0.9% benzyl alcohol and it does not need to be refrigerated."

I may be over thinking all of this, but figured I would share the info. I've received.
