What about high viz reflective print? It could provide plenty of contrast for when there's at least some ambient lighting conditions.

My Xulin 3 pen arrived today, I'll be using it with Droplet 29g 12mm needles. Did an accuracy test with an insulin syringe and it performed as expected.
