  • Southern Aminos blocked me when I questioned their GLP3 COAs!

These are the email exchanges we had:
    Hello,

So based on our conversation I felt like the 20mg batch testing wasn't enough for me because it was primarily not testing for fentanyl, sterility, and heavy metals. So I decided to order the 30mg vial because it had much more rigorous testing performed on the recent batch. But now I'm finding large discrepancies with the COAs for this vial and batch which are concerning. I'll do my best to detail what I'm finding:
First of all I thought I would have received the most recent batch of SA-3RT, which tested out at "not-detectable" levels of heavy metals.
The batch number listed on the vial is RT300226J, so not the most recent batch, but one from back in March.

On the Southern Aminos website, the COA's for batch RT300226J were performed by ILS Labs. But the picture of the vial and label on the ILS COA is different from the label on the vial I recieved. See attached picture and you will see that the label is a different color but with the same batch number.

Next the vial label average mass does not match the average mass listed on the ILS COA. The label is listing a mass of 33.82mg but the ILS COA is listing an average mass of 30.60mg. See picture of the label and the attached COA.

The last discrepancy with the ILS COA is that it lists an average purity of 99.15% with a max of 99.39%. The label lists a purity of 99.9%.

Lastly and most concerning is that I used the QR code on the vial and it goes to a completely different COA by Freedom Diagnostics. On this Freedom COA the picture of the label does not match that of the vial, the mass on the COA does not match the mass on the vial, and the purity has an average of 99.82% and a max of 99.85% (which to be fair does round to 99.9%). The Freedom COA lists a mass of 32.96mg and the vial lists 33.82mg. The Freedom testing does not include heavy metals, sterility, or fentanyl. I've also attached the Freedom COA.

Overall I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in all of these discrepancies and it really eroded my trust in this batch of SA-3RT. Based on your refund and replacement policy I feel like there is sufficient cause for a replacement. I would like to request that a replacement vial from batch SA3R30726U be sent. Please let me know what the next steps are?

Return the unused product and we will issue a refund for it, we will not ship a replacement. The label colors or style can change at any time and have no bearing on the product at all. The batch number and cap color match, that is the only things are need be a concern. Never did we say what batch you would receive, in fact you will notice on the site that we explicitly tell everyone that multiple batches can be running on a single product at any given time.

So as mentioned if you are not satisfied send it back unused and it will be refunded but we will not ship any replacements.

    Good Morning J
Please issue me an RMA and return label and I’ll get it back to you asap. Also please confirm a full refund, not a partial without shipping and package protection refunded.

I agree that label appearance can change but you did nothing to address the other major issues: label QR code COA doesn’t match the website COA for the batch number. Neither COA matches the label mass or purity. The COAs on the website for sA3RT 30mg all show that sterility and heavy metals were tested, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that I would receive a vial that also was. But the COA on the vial QR code didn’t match the COA on the website.

I have had a good experience with SA to this point but I feel like you have been pretty dismissive of my concerns here.

    Thanks

I don’t believe we have been dismissive at all. You have a chance to review all the COAs and the data before purchasing. Label information is purely for convienance, the product information page is always the source of truth. The COA for that batch is located right on the product page for viewing and it shows sterility and heavy metals testing for that exact batch.

It has been refunded, just throw it in the trash it can’t be resold after another customer has had it anyway.

This is a post is to bring visibility to a vendor practice that I really disagree with. TDLR the issues I had were:
Vial label didn't match the picture of the label in the COA (this was a minor issue in my mind)
Vial label purity, mass, did not match the COAs listed purity or mass.
Vial label QR code for COA went to a completely different COA than the one available on their website for that batch. That "other" COA also didn't match the purity or mass listed on the vial.

For those still reading I emailed customer support because I wasn't comfortable with those discrepancies and asked for a replacement from a more recent batch. I've had good experiences with SA up until this point and have spent hundreds of dollars with them to date, so I'm not just trying to get a free vial out of it. Their response was dismissive saying that "The batch number and cap color match, that is the only things are need be a concern." They told me to send them back for a refund but they would not send a replacement. Ok I said send me an RMA, return shipping label, and confirmation that I would get a full refund. I also said that I feel like they were being dismissive of my concerns. They're response was the label is for convenience the only thing that matters is the batch number and cap color match the COA (even though the label lists the batch so its obviously more than just convenience), that they weren't dismissive at all, refunded me, and blocked my account.

I am glad they refunded my order but the manner in which they conducted their business with a customer is really what concerns me about this vendor.
