It’s clear that nothing is clear πŸ˜ƒ

Looks like it’s time for the members to boycott Vanguard.

I want to buy a box of the Chengdu Elora, but now I’m confused over what the 10mg vials have? 10? 11? 12? Seems a good move would be to use 11 in my dosing.

Also, that has to be the most tested batch in history. At least we know the purity…

Why can’t we just get a lab to be accurate on everything it’s Jano or bust at this point

@Stevepep That AFI that the Critic uses seems to be on the ball….
If I just wanted PPID on a Janoshik sample, what would it cost?

@mikebricker $300 plus about $30 in shipping costs. I sent Krause two samples yesterday you got me after all those posts. One is from a Peptegridy batch I am in a group test on testing at Jano so we can compare. Krause is $125 which is so cheap. As you know, it's a bit cumbersome and antiquated, and the testing timeline is long, but for $125 I figured I would give it a shot. I had been using Kovera a bunch I am 15 samples deep with them. Great system, very easy to use, and their dashboard is the best I have seen. They are $200. $180 for more than one sample. Results with them take about 3 days. They have been accurate against the manufacturer's Jano COA's from Grey so far. But if Krause is close, it's far cheaper and I am keeping an open mind.

On a side note I think you were in the Peptegridy group buy with the third party Freedom 36% purity on Reta 10. They went off on Freedom and are getting it tested at other labs. I have my popcorn ready for this one.

@Stevepep Wasn’t in that group buy. Krause is $125 for one sample. If you sent two samples, it’s $95 each. For 2-5 it’s $95 and over 5 it’s $80. Yes it takes about 2 weeks. But that’s not too bad….

@mikebricker looking forward to seeing the results, timeline etc. unfortunately I have no pricing other than the $125 they apparently invoice you after receipt. I will post my experience good, bad or average once I complete the experience like I have for other labs. Also we will have a Janoshik test to compare it too. So we will get a first hand comparison as well

@peptidecritic @randy FWIW on Dustin's point of inconsistent vial quantities in the same manufacturing run β€” I remember seeing a Vanguard COA on a stateside vendor who tested multiple vials from the same batch and did have quantities varying between 28mg to 35mg. It was probably Reta.

I didn't buy seeing that much variation, and so don't have the COA in my folder, else would have shared it. Curious if Vanguard got the results from another lab on their exact vial and what was the number?

Regardless, THIS is the reason I like Peptide Critic and read this forum πŸ™‚

@mikebricker go look at our multilab comparison article where we sent reta to the same labs. https://peptidecritic.com/lab-report/why-test-results-vary-between-labs-multi-lab-coa-comparison

This is an 11mg average batch. Thats how it works in this space. We tested the nexaph bottles of elora at afi and vanguard and got lower numbers than jano.

Plus/minus 10% is kind of the norm. much more than that and we start asking questions and paying for more testing πŸ˜‰

Vanguard dropped the ball here. Human error happens. Even to the best labs.

@Randy Thanks. Appreciate the info. I ran QA for a Navy Nuclear Submarine maintenance facility for a few years when I was active duty. QC is just as important as QA. Looks like Vanguard thought they had the QA but dropped the ball on QC with these samples. They need to do fact finding to determine the root cause of their SNAFU.

Totally, it’s maddening none of these labs can be consistent. The QA is non existent. You need process and oversight which none of them seem to have

Why didn't anyone actually test the same vials that vanguard offered to send them of the samples that tested high? That seems like it would have actually provided you a useful data point and would have saved you money in testing.

@mmp Dustin's message says they sent vials to BT labs as only BT accepted their offer.

I guess it's always going to be a gamble in any wellness research space and that includes even big brothers and so called official channels too.

@pure_pep they offered them to another lab.

This was a dilution calculation error by vanguard. I've seen similar fuckups by them and EVERY OTHER LAB in the space.

Instead they are using AI for making stupid Instagram memes and deep fake videos. This is a race to the bottom for tech.

I'm in tech and often have "pulling my hair out" moments seeing their misguided focus in what to apply it to. 😞

@pep_researcher Not fair. The labs also use AI to generate fishy explanations of why they tested 150% the amount of the content (which is seen from a different font and spelling errors in few sentences they actually used a human to write).

                                        attentiion is all you need

@vpeps πŸ˜‚ Yeah so that's not right either. I meant robots to do precise dilutions is okay, but labs using LLM apps to hallucinate on test reports is not okay β€” that AI use is strict no no. Hehe
