Wouldn't the bac water burn? I've always heard Deionized water or saline solution for nasal sprays. Haven't tried one yet myself.

    Edit:
I just remembered, I had saved a recipe someone shared with me. Maybe this will help

    @WisGal64 Thanks for that.

I have been reading mixed opinions about how back water may or may not burn. On the Peptide Critic YouTube video about this nasal spay, Jeff uses bac water first to reconstitute and then adds the saline in the spray bottle. On another about nasal spray he does say if you use to much bac water it will burn. He never uses more than 2ml for reconstitution. I have seen people say just using saline can cause the peptide to clump. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes.

Pfizer Hospira makes Bacteriostatic Saline. That's what I use for nasal sprays. Can get it at Peptide Test. I do follow Jeff's advice in video though and reconstitute with BAC water first, then add the BAC saline. Doesn't burn at all.

@SEOCoder you can just use sterile water too 🙂

            A little follow up.

Made the spray with using saline to reconstitute and had no issues with clumping.

I used 2 mL Bac water and 5 mL saline to make a nasal spray with 10mg of Semax. Haven't had any issues with burning. I did start with one spray and now use two sprays in the morning and still no issues. Seems to work great.

So I have gone down the rabbit hole on researching this for my research rat and had some newbie questions as I have not made a nasal spray before.

Say I reconstitute 10mg with 3ml of bac water and 5ml of saline. Does the saline dilute the peptide in a way I need to know for dosing?

I found a nasal spray dosing calculator that says it will be 0.9 per dose. Am I correct in thinking that's 6 units and that would be for each side? It also is saying that's 333.3mcg. Is that for each side also?

I wanted to start my research at a total of 300mcg once a day. So do I need to add more bac water when reconstituting to make each side 150mcg?

Sorry if this all seems self explanatory but I just want to make sure I get this right.

                Thanks

Do you have a link to the nasal spray dosing calculator?

Edit: found one, is this the one you were using?

Many people have this mentality that bacteriostatic water and sterile water are the same thing and that can cause dangerous results due to severe infection risk.

Sterile water is just distilled water & sterile saline water includes 0.9% sodium chloride but neither has any preservatives so once opened, it is at high risk for bacterial/microbial contamination and only should only be used for single use doses.

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol which actively kills bacteria and can keep the peptide mixture stable for 14-28 days after opening.

Because bac water alone can cause mild stinging/irritation for nasal solutions, it is recommended to first reconstitute the peptide with bac water to prevent bacterial growth. Then combine that mixture with sterile 0.9% saline to dilute it and prevent irritation to the sinuses.
