I do not know how effective it is , but i will say this; my wife bought me a UV cell prone sterilizer so it exists, even has a little place to add esential oils if you want to smell good in the process

All the carts i use are claved. I still throw them in a high power UV for a few minutes before they go to use. Cant hurt but i wouldnt rely on it.

@mikepinkerton UV "sterilizers" do not actually sterilize, they mildly disinfect. You can use a pressure cooker like Mirro Matic, heat at 250°F 15psi (turn knob to 3 on the stove) for 20mins. It acts like a very inexpensive autoclave. Best to use a sterilization pouch like Dynarex for the steam sterilizing indicators.

@Miracita the highest tier ninja does it. No drying function though.

@Randy I've noticed that but as a new Electrology grad it's out of my budget😭😭 I would definitely suggest anything top tier like that if others can afford it.

The problem with electric pressure cookers is most are only 10psi but only a few are the required 15psi. They do not properly vent to evacuate all the air. You can compensate for this by using a longer processing time.
My husband grows mushrooms. You have to sterilize the growing medium. What takes one hour in my stovetop pressure canner takes three hours in our instapot ultra.

I have an All American Pressure Cooker Canner that I believe can be used to sterilize as it has a 15psi weight. I'll have to check into that now.

Also, I saw this beauty at a tattoo convention around 1993. Custom aiirbrushed. The ancient photo doesn’t do it justice.

                                15 PSI
The Instant Pot’s high-pressure setting is designed to operate at a maximum pressure of 15 PSI, which is equivalent to approximately 103 kPa (kilopascals). I have the latest one might as well give it a try

@Randy I wonder if you could just put them in the oven on 250 after they come out if that would do it. These autoclaves are very expensive so looking for another solution. I have the high end ninja that does 15psi on steam mode

@Randy That one is sweet, and not to terribly priced either. I've been looking for one myself. I did put in a word to my Brother's wife's cousin that's a dentist, that if he is ever getting rid of one and it still works to let me know. Maybe I'll get the family discount..
