NAD+ Reconstitution advice needed
-
found some NAD+ on gray, 100Mg vials, it came in 10ML Vial. idk why lol adding 1.5 ML of back water gives my Rat a 20mg dose @ 30 units
any reason I should add more to this? Less sting? hate to push more in the syringe than needed. -
@randy somewhat unrelated question here but I just reconstituted some NAD from Nexaph and it didn’t seem to have a vacuum in the vial when reconstituting (had to actually push the BAC through rather than preventing it from coming out quickly) - should I be worried?

Ive read that a 1000mg vial should be reconstituted with 10ml bac water to reduce sting. I have some coming from crush, but the site says its in 3ml vials so Im not quite sure how the heck I'm going to recon it yet.

I haven't had any issues with stinging other than just pinning. I'm now seeing NAD+ buffed which includes pH-stabilizing agents to prevent degradation. Im going to purchase a NAD Buffed to see the difference before i purchase a whole set to buff what I already have.

I recently got some 1000mg from Crush and it came in a 10mL vial. Slight sting if pushed too fast. But I've only had Hallandale compounded NAD to compare.

I used the entire kit! I will stay away from 100mg kits as Im taking 50mg daily It had a slight sting but was not to bad, I did find that I needed to used 1.5mg of bac due to the larger puck size in the vial, using 1ml didnt seem to dissolve it. Since then I have purchased a 500mg buffered kit from nexaph and it has almost no sting, I have some 1000mg kits coming from china.

I can't do without NAD+ buf; will give up all others to keep it. S1research has 1000mg NAD+ buf if you want some while waiting on your shipment.

But yes more BAC should help with the sting b/c NAD+ is very acidic.

@martinmarin My in home female lab rat started on unbuffered and I moved her over to buffered. Pretty big difference in pain. Plus the buffered is a bit stronger and it lasts longer. NAD+ is one of the peps that degrades rapidly, so once you recon it you better get using it.

@brandenscheidecker NAD+ with zero sting honestly makes me think bad product. You can't convince me otherwise.

I can guarantee you, that is NOT true! Either that, or I have the biggest placebo response in history! It's okay if you're not convinced. Knock yourself out. Sting baby, sting.

OK, good to know that the buffered helps with the sting that much. I have a kit of 1000mg buffered coming from Crush, so I will plan to recon that at a normal amount for dose/units then. Are y'all using normal bac water, or the sodium chloride version?
@JtCjEfF I always use more BAC than needed, regardless of what the pep is. I use Randy's recon tool and will get it to as close to a number ending in '5' as possible; generally between 20 and 60 units (for syringe). If you're using a pin, IDK what the numbers are.

@JtCjEfF Regular BAC water, just dilute your vial. I've done 2ml and 3ml for 500mg vials. I think I like 3ml better.

Is that why I see a lot of places give the option for 500mg and 1000mg? Is the 500 supposed to sting less? And what size vials do 500mg normally come in?

I'm not sure, Nuncles; it's just the amount in the vial; the amount of BAC is still a personal choice. In 500mg I use 5ml BAC, which makes it a 30 unit pull in syringe for 30mg dose. In 1000mg I use up to 10ml for the same 30 dose/units. I like my numbers to line up as the same; saves confusion.
Whether it's BUFFERED is what matters as far as tolerability (sting).

@gym.rat Yes i might just blow through them. Up the dose tongauge the difference in this case. They are 100mg vials. But I am in my sweet spot though. Well my ph test strips are in my amazon cart now. Man this is getting expensive. lol
