I was just about to post asking for an internet bloodwork recommendation 🫡
This looks rly cool! Thx!

My wife and I have used Marek Diagnostics at https://marekdiagnostics.com/. They have prebuilt packages or you can pick from a menu of labs and build your own. Very helpful. They sent in the orders directly to Quest Diagnostics who drew the blood. It was a very easy process. Didn't have to speak to anyone at Marek.

I use Function Health. It is a pretty comprehensive panel for $399, but you can find $100 off coupons online. Tests over 100 biomarkers and you get one retest annuallly of 60 biomarkers. I have been looking at Superpower too, might try them out after my Function membership is up. Did look at Rythm, they have great prices, but have seen a few on Reddit post that the results on Rhythm varied pretty greatly from other well known labs, but that is Reddit posts, so take that for what its worth.

@aronmezera I would want to see labs too, but as odd as it sounds to the newbie(I only started looking into recently) testosterone and progesterone is pretty common for peri-postmenopausal women, often with estrogen troques or other treatments.
I use Function health as well. I overanalyzed Function, Quest, Ulta, and a couple others and just went with Function after spending 3 weeks trying to figure out what the equivalent from other vendors was. They all pretty much using Quest Diagnostics and pricing is similar.

@aronmezera You didn't mention exactly why she was looking to get her bloodwork done other than the mention of the potential Reta research. Generally speaking, bloodwork and baselines are always good to have especially in the "Research World."
Being that you mentioned Progesterone, I'm assuming she's potentially investigating getting her hormones back in balance. Assuming this is the case, her consultation isn't neccessarily ill advise. My wife is navigating perimenopause, and her doctor advised against bloodwork, noting it "isn't always a helpful diagnostic tool." Instead, they started her on a topical hormone cream, using a 'trial and error' approach to fine-tune the dosage based on her symptoms. It has been a total game-changer for her (positive).
The reason bloodwork is often unreliable (for women) in order to get a baseline on their hormone levels is because, unlike men’s relatively stable hormonal levels, a woman’s hormones fluctuate wildly throughout her monthly cycle. A blood draw taken just two weeks apart could show completely different results, making it nearly impossible to establish a true "baseline" or use those numbers to dictate treatment.
That said, I've used Function and she will soon be doing it as well. For women, you just have to take the hormone piece of the blood panel results with agrain of salt...
(BTW... Function is like $365 right now and I used the promo code "Huberman" to get $50 off. If you get a referal from somebody it's aonther $25 off bringing it down to like $285. Not bad. This is for a baseline test and then another test 3-6 months later to see "what's changing" I really like their App too). I swear I have no affiliation and could care less who does or does not use them LOL!!!
Hope this helps...
